This is why I currently am not in the position of adopting a dog myself, but would love to take care of dogs on the weekends when I am home. When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be lazy or alone, I give them space, if they prefer interaction and play, I give them attention. I feed them and walk them as agreed with the owner.

Over: I love dogs more than humans, which is honestly why you want me watching yours. I don't treat this like a job or a chore I just like hanging out with them. On nice days, expect me to walk your dog to the park for well over an hour just to let them run around and explore. You can do your thing without feeling guilty, knowing your dog is getting all my attention. My schedule is pretty flexible and easy to work around. I usually handle walks in the mornings or early afternoons, but let me know what you need and we can make it work. I’m always happy to do a quick meet and greet with you and your dog before any official bookings just to make sure we’re all a great fit for each other. I also prefer to focus on one dog at a time, though I can take multiples upon request if they're from the same household.

Veel liefde en aandacht voor je hond, regelmatige updates en foto’s, en de geruststelling dat je hond in goede handen is. Ik plan vooraf altijd graag even een kennismaking in, zodat we kunnen kijken of er een goede match is. Ik woon op 40 m² met een tuin. Voor hele grote honden is mijn woning daardoor waarschijnlijk minder geschikt. Goed om te weten: omdat ik op de begane grond woon, hoor je soms geluiden uit het trappenhuis. Daarom is mijn woning minder geschikt voor honden die erg waaks zijn of snel aanslaan bij geluiden. Voor vragen mag je altijd contact opnemen! 🐾 Ik werk voor mezelf vanuit huis en ben daardoor veel aanwezig. Huisdieren zijn dus zelden lang alleen. Mijn planning is flexibel en ik ben over het algemeen veel thuis, waardoor er genoeg tijd is voor wandelingen, speeltijd, rustmomenten en verzorging. Overdag stuur ik ook graag af en toe een update of foto, zodat je weet hoe het met je dier gaat. Ik woon op de begane grond aan een rustige, autovrije straat en heb tevens een volledig omheind tuintje waar honden lekker kunnen relaxen. Ik heb zelf geen honden of katten, waardoor jouw dier alle aandacht krijgt. Daarnaast is er veel groen in de buurt en zijn er verschillende parken op loopafstand.

Ik kom uw hond ophalen en rij vervolgens naar een veilig uitlaatgebied waar ik 30 of 60 minuten met ze ga wandelen. Mijn werkgebied is alleen onder de Lek. Stuur mij een berichtje en dan kunnen we samen uw wensen bespreken. De verzorging van de dieren doe ik in overleg met de eigenaar. Wij bespreken de wensen en kijken wat de mogelijkheden zijn. Indien we hier uitkomen zal er een kennismaking plaatsvinden. Ik verzorg de dieren naar wens van de eigenaar. Dit is ook de reden dat ik graag vooraf de wensen bespreek om te kijken of dit passend is. De verzorging is altijd bij het baasje thuis en doe ik met veel liefde. Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. Even before becoming a Rover sitter, I cared for friends' and neighbors' dogs on many occasions including a beagle, a husky and a golden retriever and grew up with shih tzu and a cockapoo, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. Before moving to The Netherlands, we most recently lived in Richmond, Virginia and enjoyed walking the many urban hiking trails and parks together. Since I started pet sitting through Rover, I have stayed with and looked after all of different kinds of pups including senior pups, puppies, and all different sizes of dogs from toy to large. I’ve also cared for other caged pets in the same home like rabbits when needed. I care for them all like they are my very own Luna girl. My husband is also a Rover sitter and will sometimes accompany me. David has always been a dog lover and loves to give my clients some extra attention while you’re away. He is also a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and as such is very good under pressure/does not hesitate to act when dealing with anything out of the ordinary like illness or injury. My clients and I are very lucky to have him by my side when he does come along during bookings. About My Services: I am confident with standard commands in English and am learning some in Dutch as well. I also speak French and am happy to learn and practice commands in any language that suits your pet. All of my services are customizable to your pets needs, but below is a list of what is typically included in my Standard Rate with and without overnight stay, as well as my Constant Care Rate, which I have limited availability to accept, but will consider if I am available and your pet’s needs require it. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

Over: Van jongs af aan ben ik opgegroeid met honden en katten en heb ik altijd voor hen gezorgd. Over: I've been caring for cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had three family dogs and a cat, and by the time I was 21, my family had taken in seven stray dogs. Living with them was one of the happiest periods of my life. I miss them dearly and would love the opportunity to spend time with and care for pets here in Amsterdam as well. I really love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, cosy, and cared for 💛 I’m available for boarding on Fridays and weekends, and they’re also welcome to stay with me during the week. Over: Hoi! Wij zijn Jonna (25) en Ana (24) en samen wonen we in Utrecht. We zijn allebei enorme hondenliefhebbers en hebben allebei van jongs af aan veel ervaring met honden. Jonna is opgegroeid met honden en heeft sinds haar achtste altijd een hond in huis gehad. Bij haar vader woonde tot een paar jaar geleden een lieve Toller, maar nu een energieke pup mix Toller/Australian Shepard. Daarnaast heeft zij ervaring met het helpen in dierenopvangcentra, waar onder andere honden uitlaten en dagelijkse verzorging bij hoorden. Ana heeft zes jaar lang een hond gehad bij haar ouders en heeft daar veel verantwoordelijkheid in gedragen. Samen vinden we het heerlijk om met honden bezig te zijn: wandelen, trainen, spelen en natuurlijk knuffelen horen daar allemaal bij. We letten goed op het karakter en de behoeften van elke hond en passen onze aanpak daarop aan, of het nu gaat om een actieve pup of een wat rustigere, oudere hond. We wonen in een appartement met balkon (geen tuin), maar maken dagelijks meerdere wandelingen en nemen daar uitgebreid de tijd voor. Bij ons krijgen honden veel aandacht, structuur en een veilige, huiselijke plek. We kijken ernaar uit om jouw hond bij ons te mogen ontvangen! Wij werken beiden full-time, maar Ana werkt onregelmatige uren in de zorg waardoor er vaak of bijna altijd iemand thuis is. Jonna werkt 2-3 dagen per week thuis. Een lekkere ochtend wandeling, middag (mits iemand thuis is) en er lange middag I will respect any of the terms we will set together. As long as those terms are discussed, I think we should be fine! Let’s chat about it :)

Over: I have 2 dogs of my own and years of hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Your dog will be coming into a calm, dog-savvy home run by people who genuinely love this - not somewhere treating it as a side hustle. I offer boarding at my place, house sitting at yours, and dog walks in and around Hilversum and the Gooi. I keep numbers small on purpose so that your dog gets real attention, a proper routine, and someone who actually notices if something feels off. I use an intake form with every booking so I know your dog's routine, quirks, health needs, and what they're like with other dogs before anything is confirmed. No surprises for either of us. I am additionally comfortable with senior dogs who need calm over chaos and dogs with specific routines or sensitivities. I ask for: honest answers on the intake form and a quick meet-and-greet before boarding or sitting bookings. Pet care isn't something I fit around a busy schedule, it is the priority when I have a booking. I work from home, which means dogs in my care aren't left alone for long stretches during the day. Walks, feeding, rest, and outdoor time follow your dog's natural routine as closely as possible, not mine. I keep bookings small so I'm never stretched across too many dogs at once. My home is calm, dog-proofed, and already shared with 2 dogs of my own, so incoming dogs arrive into a settled environment. Before any boarding or sitting booking I use a detailed intake form covering health, behavior, feeding, and emergency contacts, plus a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good fit. I use a signed agreement with every client. If something feels off with a dog during a stay such as appetite, energy, behavior, I notice and I communicate that. Owners hear from me with updates; they don't have to chase me for them.
