Over: I've had dogs all my life, however in the past 15 years I have focused on senior pet rescue, foster, and hospice. One of our dogs even had a pace maker! I have extensive experience in medication administration and a deep love for all animals. Right now we have a senior toothless chihuahua which is why we limit the size of pets we take in our home. However, if you have a large dog that is older extremely gentle and mild mannered we can discuss having our dogs meet and exceptions can be made. I would also consider a 2nd dog from the same household. Between my husband and I one of us is always home with our senior so no one will be left unattended. If I am coming to your pet I accept everyone and adapt to your pets individual needs and environment. The environment we provide is calm, safe, comfortable, and quiet with constant supervision. In overleg is opvang bij mij thuis eventueel ook mogelijk wanneer dat echt nodig is. Ik laat een hond niet zomaar alleen en kijk goed naar wat het dier nodig heeft.
Over: Een aantal jaar geleden had ik een oppas gezin met nog twee puppys erbij waar ik ook voor oppaste. Verder heeft mijn oma altijd honden gehad. Ook is mijn zusje dierenarts en laat ze me altijd veel zien. Ik werk parttime waardoor ik de woensdagen vrij ben. De za en zo doe ik vaak rustig aan en maak ik vaak wandelingen en daar past een hond goed bij. Ik woon in een appartement met een groot balkon die veilig omringd is door dichte hekken. Over: Mijn ouders hebben altijd katten gehad. Daarnaast liet ik als jong meisje, vaak de honden in de buurt uit. Op latere leeftijd werden dat vaste adressen waarbij ik de huissleutel kreeg. Tijdens covid heb ik gewerkt als hondenuitlater. Mijn vriend en ik zouden graag een huisdier nemen, maar houden ook nog te veel van reizen. Daarom zouden we het heel leuk vinden om een dag/periode op jullie dier te passen. Ik werk op freelance basis en ben daarom erg flexibel in het indelen van mijn eigen tijd. Daarnaast kan ik veel werk, gewoon thuis doen. Wel zo gezellig. We wonen in een appartement met een balkon. Je bent vanaf hier, zo in het Rembrandtpark of het Vondelpark voor een goede wandeling. Ik hou van buiten zijn, loop zelf geregeld een rondje en hou van spelen en knuffelen met de dieren.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. She agreed to watch my dog less than 12 hours in advance, and then agreed to meet me at the train station instead of me dropping off the dog at her place, which shows how kind and thoughtful and helpful she is!!! Over: Honden maken me oprecht blij. Hun energie, hun eerlijkheid en het contact dat je zonder woorden kunt hebben daar geniet ik echt van. En eerlijk is eerlijk: van een kwispelende staart word ik gewoon blij. Wat begon als iets wat ik gewoon heel leuk vond, wil ik nu graag verder uitbouwen. Het voelt voor mij als een hobby die ik met liefde heb omgezet naar werk. Voor mij voelt het dan ook niet als “werk”, maar als gezelschap waar je aandacht aan geeft. Ik kies bewust voor 1-op-1 zorg, omdat ik merk dat rust en aandacht zoveel verschil maken. Geen groepswandelingen of haast, maar echt afstemmen op wat een hond nodig heeft. Ik heb inmiddels ervaring met veel verschillende honden. Ik vind een wederzijdse vertrouwensband opbouwen heel belangrijk! Een hond moet zich veilig voelen. Daarom neem ik de tijd om elkaar rustig te leren kennen en kijk ik goed naar lichaamstaal, energie en tempo. Elke hond is anders en dat vind ik juist mooi. De zorg voor honden plan ik bewust in mijn week in. Het is niet iets wat ik er even tussendoor doe, maar iets waar ik echt ruimte voor maak. Het zorgen voor honden is inmiddels een vast onderdeel van mijn werkweek geworden. Doordat ik mijn eigen planning indeel, kan ik zorgen voor rust, aandacht en een ontspannen ritme. Geen volle agenda’s of haast, maar tijd om echt af te stemmen. Voor de honden-uitlaatservice ben ik beschikbaar ik in de omgeving van het Erasmuspark, Westerpark, de Jordaan en de Houthavens fijne plekken waar beweging, veiligheid en veel honden samenkomen 😉 Daarnaast bied ik ook overnachtingen aan, zowel doordeweeks als in het weekend. Honden verblijven dan in een rustige, huiselijke omgeving. Ik vang nooit meer dan twee honden tegelijk op, zodat de aandacht persoonlijk en ontspannen blijft.

Over: Mijn vriend is opgegroeid met een hond en heeft dus veel ervaring met hondengedrag. Zelf ben ik opgegroeid met heel veel huisdieren én liet ik vroeger altijd alle honden uit de straat uit! We zijn allebei échte dierenliefhebbers. We houden allebei enorm van wandelen in het bos, dus we zijn altijd wel in voor een goede wandeling met jouw hond! En omdat we met z'n tweeën zijn, krijgt je hond bij ons sowieso alle aandacht en knuffels die hij verdient. Hoewel we allebei fulltime werken, werken we 2 tot 3 dagen per week vanuit huis. Hierdoor hebben we superveel flexibiliteit om onze dag helemaal om jouw hond heen te plannen! Mocht het een keer nodig zijn, dan mag de hond zelfs met ons mee naar kantoor. We zijn allebei erg actief en wonen direct aan het park. Tussen het werken door kunnen we dus heel gemakkelijk even naar buiten voor een heerlijke, actieve wandeling! We wonen direct aan het park, dus we stappen zo het groen in zonder langs drukke wegen te hoeven lopen. Tijdens het wandelen houden we honden voor de veiligheid altijd netjes aan de lijn. Om je een gerust gevoel te geven, sturen we gedurende de dag gezellig foto's en updates. Ook plannen we vooraf altijd een vrijblijvende Meet & Greet. Zo kunnen we rustig bespreken wat jouw hond gewend is qua ritme en regels, en stemmen we alles perfect af!
Over: Honden zijn altijd een groot onderdeel van mijn leven geweest. Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en heb al sinds mijn tweede levensjaar altijd één of meerdere honden thuis gehad. Daardoor ben ik gewend aan verschillende rassen, karakters en leeftijden en weet ik hoe belangrijk rust, structuur en aandacht zijn. Door mijn drukke werk en mijn regelmatige reizen vind ik het op dit moment niet eerlijk om zelf fulltime een hond te hebben. Toch mis ik de gezelligheid en liefde die een hond met zich meebrengt. Daarom is Rover voor mij de perfecte oplossing: ik kan honden een fijne, veilige en liefdevolle plek bieden, terwijl baasjes met een gerust hart weg kunnen. Ik behandel elke hond alsof het mijn eigen hond is. Betrouwbaarheid, goede communicatie en het welzijn van de hond staan voor mij altijd op de eerste plaats. Ik werk flexibel waardoor ik mijn planning goed kan afstemmen. Ik ben beschikbaar op zowel doordeweekse dagen als in het weekend en denk graag mee als er last-minute opvang nodig is. ik ben opgegroeid met honden, waardoor de verzorging voor mij heel natuurlijk voelt. Jouw hond verblijft in een ruim appartement van ongeveer 120 m² met voldoende ruimte om te ontspannen. Ik woon op loopafstand van zowel het Erasmuspark als het Rembrandtpark, waardoor we meerdere keren per dag fijne wandelingen kunnen maken in een groene omgeving. Of je hond nu graag actief is of juist behoefte heeft aan rust, ik zorg ervoor dat hij of zij zich veilig, ontspannen en thuis voelt.
