I understand energetic, intelligent dogs well and provide consistent, attentive care. I work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and get plenty of supervision and interaction throughout the day. I also adore dogs and how cheerful they are. It is fascinating how their personalities differ from one to another. I will be glad to pet and hug the cuddly types, but I also respect the reserved individualists ;) And I just love long walks! I am also able to administer medication and do the injections, if needed. I can also water your plants ;) I'm currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets. My agenda is quite flexible, so I could both drop-in couple times a day, or stay over at your place. I live in an apartment on the 2nd floor. We have 2 balconies and a park nearby. Over: Honden maken me oprecht blij. Hun energie, hun eerlijkheid en het contact dat je zonder woorden kunt hebben daar geniet ik echt van. En eerlijk is eerlijk: van een kwispelende staart word ik gewoon blij. Wat begon als iets wat ik gewoon heel leuk vond, wil ik nu graag verder uitbouwen. Het voelt voor mij als een hobby die ik met liefde heb omgezet naar werk. Voor mij voelt het dan ook niet als “werk”, maar als gezelschap waar je aandacht aan geeft. Ik kies bewust voor 1-op-1 zorg, omdat ik merk dat rust en aandacht zoveel verschil maken. Geen groepswandelingen of haast, maar echt afstemmen op wat een hond nodig heeft. Ik heb inmiddels ervaring met veel verschillende honden. Ik vind een wederzijdse vertrouwensband opbouwen heel belangrijk! Een hond moet zich veilig voelen. Daarom neem ik de tijd om elkaar rustig te leren kennen en kijk ik goed naar lichaamstaal, energie en tempo. Elke hond is anders en dat vind ik juist mooi. De zorg voor honden plan ik bewust in mijn week in. Het is niet iets wat ik er even tussendoor doe, maar iets waar ik echt ruimte voor maak. Het zorgen voor honden is inmiddels een vast onderdeel van mijn werkweek geworden. Doordat ik mijn eigen planning indeel, kan ik zorgen voor rust, aandacht en een ontspannen ritme. Geen volle agenda’s of haast, maar tijd om echt af te stemmen. Voor de honden-uitlaatservice ben ik beschikbaar ik in de omgeving van het Erasmuspark, Westerpark, de Jordaan en de Houthavens fijne plekken waar beweging, veiligheid en veel honden samenkomen 😉 Daarnaast bied ik ook overnachtingen aan, zowel doordeweeks als in het weekend. Honden verblijven dan in een rustige, huiselijke omgeving. Ik vang nooit meer dan twee honden tegelijk op, zodat de aandacht persoonlijk en ontspannen blijft.

Ik heb een tijd op een ranch in Duitsland gewoond waar we twee Australian Shepherds en een Border Collie hadden. De Aussies heb ik grotendeels vanaf pup opgevoed en met onze Border Collie, die een lastig verleden had, ben ik ook meerdere keren naar de hondenschool geweest. Daardoor heb ik geleerd goed om te gaan met verschillende karakters en gedragingen. Daarnaast heb ik vaak opgepast op de Jack Russell van een vriendin tijdens vakanties en andere momenten. Ik hou van lange wandelingen, avontuur en actief bezig zijn met honden — vroeger nam ik ze zelfs regelmatig mee tijdens het paardrijden 😊 Ik ben geduldig, rustig en speels, maar durf ook duidelijk en consequent te zijn wanneer dat nodig is. Medicatie geven is geen probleem en ik sta open voor alle soorten honden. Ik geloof niet echt in “slechte rassen”, iedere hond is anders en verdient een eerlijke kans en liefdevolle begeleiding. Verder heb ik een auto, dus uitstapjes of ophalen is vaak mogelijk. En ja… als een hond graag bij je op bed kruipt voor extra knuffels, dan vind ik dat helemaal gezellig 🐾 Momenteel heb ik nog geen vaste baan, waardoor ik veel vrije tijd en flexibiliteit heb. Since moving to Amsterdam, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends here, everything from quick drop-in visits to longer stays of up to 15 days. I live in a big apartment with my partner, who also loves pets, so we’d be two people looking after yours and it would rarely be alone. We’re close to Erasmuspark, great for walks and playtime, and our place has a big balcony too. I work from home most of the time and only go to the office once a week, so I’m around most days. Happy to take dogs on long walks, or just spend lots of time at home if it’s a cat! Sleeping in the bedroom with me is totally fine, or the living room if your pet prefers sleeping on its own. Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. Over: Honden maken me oprecht blij. Hun energie, hun eerlijkheid en het contact dat je zonder woorden kunt hebben daar geniet ik echt van. En eerlijk is eerlijk: van een kwispelende staart word ik gewoon blij. Wat begon als iets wat ik gewoon heel leuk vond, wil ik nu graag verder uitbouwen. Het voelt voor mij als een hobby die ik met liefde heb omgezet naar werk. Voor mij voelt het dan ook niet als “werk”, maar als gezelschap waar je aandacht aan geeft. Ik kies bewust voor 1-op-1 zorg, omdat ik merk dat rust en aandacht zoveel verschil maken. Geen groepswandelingen of haast, maar echt afstemmen op wat een hond nodig heeft. Ik heb inmiddels ervaring met veel verschillende honden. Ik vind een wederzijdse vertrouwensband opbouwen heel belangrijk! Een hond moet zich veilig voelen. Daarom neem ik de tijd om elkaar rustig te leren kennen en kijk ik goed naar lichaamstaal, energie en tempo. Elke hond is anders en dat vind ik juist mooi. De zorg voor honden plan ik bewust in mijn week in. Het is niet iets wat ik er even tussendoor doe, maar iets waar ik echt ruimte voor maak. Het zorgen voor honden is inmiddels een vast onderdeel van mijn werkweek geworden. Doordat ik mijn eigen planning indeel, kan ik zorgen voor rust, aandacht en een ontspannen ritme. Geen volle agenda’s of haast, maar tijd om echt af te stemmen. Voor de honden-uitlaatservice ben ik beschikbaar ik in de omgeving van het Erasmuspark, Westerpark, de Jordaan en de Houthavens fijne plekken waar beweging, veiligheid en veel honden samenkomen 😉 Daarnaast bied ik ook overnachtingen aan, zowel doordeweeks als in het weekend. Honden verblijven dan in een rustige, huiselijke omgeving. Ik vang nooit meer dan twee honden tegelijk op, zodat de aandacht persoonlijk en ontspannen blijft.

Over: I am a real animal lover. Ive had my cat since he was a kitten and I’ve taken care of my friends cats when they were away. I’ve offered also home visits to cats feeding, playing and petting them. I love dogs too and I’ve walked several dogs, I’ve been the regular walker and dogsitter of a golden retriever since she was 6 months old. She usually stays with me during the day and she’s also stayed overnight a few times. I am at the moment off work and I really like having some structure involving pets. With my cat, we have fixed feeding times and throughout the day he gets cuddles and some play. When I take care of a dog at my place we have regular feeding and walking times, according to their needs. I have quite some flexibility. My cat is completely fine with other cats and dogs as long as they don’t attack or chase. I have a separate bedroom so I can separate if it is needed (hopefully it’s not necessary). My apartment is in a calm and green area and is very close to a dog park. There are always a lot of dogs walking by and is a really fun environment for social dogs

Over: I’ve had a dog since I was 10, so I grew up learning how to train and care for one properly, not just from a course. Here in Amsterdam I look after dogs regularly and can put you in touch with past clients for a reference. I want to make sure your dog feels at home as possible with me! I’m a student and work part-time, so I have real flexibility during the week, not just evenings and weekends. That means I can adjust to your dog’s routine rather than squeezing care in around a rigid schedule, whether that’s a midday walk, extra playtime, or just more one-on-one attention. I keep my calendar updated so you can see exactly when I’m free to book! I’ve spent years learning to read what dogs need, when they want more attention and when they’d rather be left to settle. My home is dog-proofed, with nothing lying around they could get into or accidentally swallow. I live right next to several parks, so there’s always somewhere close for walks and playtime without needing a car. I keep owners updated with photos and messages throughout the stay so you always know how your dog is doing.

Ik heb zelf 15 jaar een hond gehad en pas regelmatig op de honden van vrienden, dus ik ben gewend aan honden met verschillende karakters, energielevels en behoeftes. Ik werk doordeweeks flexibel en kan mijn hondoppas goed combineren met mijn werk. Mijn hondenvriendje mag in principe zelfs mee naar kantoor, dus als jouw hond het leuk vindt, kan hij/zij gezellig met mij mee. Logeren – dag & nacht Ook voor een nachtje (of meerdere!) is jouw hond welkom bij mij. Ik zorg ervoor dat hij/zij zich zo comfortabel mogelijk voelt en probeer zoveel mogelijk het normale ritme van thuis aan te houden. 🐕 Mijn beschikbaarheid Ik ben doordeweeks eigenlijk vrijwel altijd beschikbaar en ook in het weekend kan er veel. Omdat ik flexibel kan omgaan met waar ik werk, kan ik goed rekening houden met verschillende opvangmomenten. I walk a lot, in the morning, afternoon and evening. I have an apartment without garden but I often go to the park when i have to dog sit, I love being outside so that’s a good thing for your pet :)
