Dan ben je bij mij aan het juiste adres.Mijn naam is Serge en ik ben met verschillende honden/dieren opgegroeid. Daarnaast heb ik ruim 16 jaar zelf 3 kleinere honden gehad. Ik begrijp heel goed dat je jouw hond niet zomaar aan iedereen meegeeft. Daarom staan veiligheid, structuur en persoonlijke aandacht bij mij altijd voorop. Wat ik bied: - (Lange) wandelingen: Lekker snuffelen, spelen en socialiseren in de parken/groenvoorzieningen rond het centrum van Purmerend - Huiselijke sfeer: Een veilige, rustige plek met alle aandacht die je hond verdient - Betrouwbaarheid: Afspraak is afspraak, met flexibele tijden in overleg - Updates: Ik stuur je tijdens de opvang met plezier een leuke foto of video! Groetjes van Serge Momenteel werk ik alle dagen van de week op de maandag na vanuit huis. Ik zou dan bijvoorbeeld tussen 12:00 en 13:30 uur tijd hebben om met je hondje te gaan wandelen. Ik woon samen met mijn partner in een appartement in het centrum van Purmerend. Tot voor kort deelden we onze woning met onze 2 Schipperkes. Ze zijn eerder dit jaar overleden op een respectabele leeftijd van 16 jaar.... We zouden graag weer hondjes nemen, alleen dan op de wat langere termijn. En ondertussen zou ik graag je hondje bijvoorbeeld tussen de middag kunnen uitlaten. Daarnaast zou ik bij mij thuis een aantal dagen op een kleinere hond kunnen passen. Ik zeg kleiner, omdat ik een relatief kleine woning heb zonder tuin. Maar er zijn zat groenvoorzieningen in de buurt om met je hondje te kunnen wandelen.

Over: Hi! 😊 Honden zijn voor mij echt familie en ik vind het belangrijk dat ze zich veilig, geliefd en op hun gemak voelen. Ik heb een tijd op een ranch in Duitsland gewoond waar we twee Australian Shepherds en een Border Collie hadden. De Aussies heb ik grotendeels vanaf pup opgevoed en met onze Border Collie, die een lastig verleden had, ben ik ook meerdere keren naar de hondenschool geweest. Daardoor heb ik geleerd goed om te gaan met verschillende karakters en gedragingen. Daarnaast heb ik vaak opgepast op de Jack Russell van een vriendin tijdens vakanties en andere momenten. Ik hou van lange wandelingen, avontuur en actief bezig zijn met honden — vroeger nam ik ze zelfs regelmatig mee tijdens het paardrijden 😊 Ik ben geduldig, rustig en speels, maar durf ook duidelijk en consequent te zijn wanneer dat nodig is. Medicatie geven is geen probleem en ik sta open voor alle soorten honden. Ik geloof niet echt in “slechte rassen”, iedere hond is anders en verdient een eerlijke kans en liefdevolle begeleiding. Verder heb ik een auto, dus uitstapjes of ophalen is vaak mogelijk. En ja… als een hond graag bij je op bed kruipt voor extra knuffels, dan vind ik dat helemaal gezellig 🐾 Momenteel heb ik nog geen vaste baan, waardoor ik veel vrije tijd en flexibiliteit heb. Daardoor kan ik huisdieren veel aandacht geven, wandelingen plannen en mijn dagelijkse routine aanpassen aan hun behoeften Ik zorg voor een rustige, veilige en vertrouwde omgeving voor ieder huisdier en heb een omheind tuintje. Ik geef veel aandacht, houd rekening met hun karakter en behoeften en zorg voor duidelijke structuur, veilige wandelingen en goede verzorging

Over: Als kind ben ik opgegroeid tussen de dieren en we hadden altijd honden. Die jarenlange ervaring heeft ervoor gezorgd dat ik dol ben op honden. Groot en klein! Over: I have had 2 dogs growing up, of which one a Swiss white shepherd. I get along with dogs and wish I could have one myself but since I live alone it’s difficult for me to fully commit at this time - for the time being I would love to sit! I work from home most days, and am therefore free to take walk breaks. Besides my 9-5, I don’t have other big commitments. I live in a spacious enough studio, but I have enough space outside to go for walks. Also a park relatively close if you we feel comfortable going there.

I am the sole caregiver and will always be the one responsible for your dog’s care and supervision. I understand how important it is to feel that your pet is in safe, reliable hands. I do have an 8-year-old child who is present after school hours. He is very gentle, respectful, and absolutely loves dogs. He enjoys playing and cuddling with them, but your dog will never be left alone with him—I am always present and supervising interactions to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. I work full time, but I am self-employed, so can bring dogs with me to work. From there we can go for a longer walk around lunchtime, or shorter toilet breaks as necessary. Longer walks are also possible before or after work. On weekends we can go for adventures to the many parks of Amsterdam. I have a bakfiets, so if it’s ok with you, we can get around town with the wind in our fur! I have a clean and welcoming environment in my home, with room for playing and napping. I live on the third floor, and there are stairs inside my apartment too. I’m happy to carry smaller dogs up and down, but this might be something to consider. In general, when I am caring for a dog, it’s much like having a child to take care of. I do have an 8 year old (who is very sweet and gentle with dogs), so your dog has to be friendly and comfortable with children. I also need to know how your dog is with other dogs and people, so I can act accordingly. I never let dogs off leash before i know them very well, because I take my responsibility very seriously. And always pick up poop!

Since moving to Amsterdam, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends here, everything from quick drop-in visits to longer stays of up to 15 days. I live in a big apartment with my partner, who also loves pets, so we’d be two people looking after yours and it would rarely be alone. We’re close to Erasmuspark, great for walks and playtime, and our place has a big balcony too. I work from home most of the time and only go to the office once a week, so I’m around most days. Happy to take dogs on long walks, or just spend lots of time at home if it’s a cat! Sleeping in the bedroom with me is totally fine, or the living room if your pet prefers sleeping on its own. We currently don’t have any pets of our own. I can do both during the week and weekends. Right now I work from home 4 days a week and I go to the office once a week. This is flexible though, so I can also stay home full-time if needed. I love giving lots of affection and spending quality time with the pets in my care. I do have an active social life, but when I have an animal with me, I try to stay home as much as possible so they feel accompanied and don’t feel alone. If it’s a dog, I really enjoy long walks, so I’d take them along with me. I prefer looking after pets at my own place, but in some cases I’m also open to pet sitting at the owner’s home. As for sleeping, I’m flexible, they can sleep in the bedroom with me or in the living room, whatever they’re more used to. As for pets, I don’t own any currently.

I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine, so I always try to follow the owner’s instructions and give each animal the care and attention they are used to. I’m flexible with my time and can adapt to different routines, whether a pet needs walks, company, playtime or simply someone around while their owners are away. Pets are welcome throughout my home and are free to move around and feel comfortable. I don’t have a garden, but I do have a balcony. They can relax wherever they like, and I also have a cozy little corner for them to sleep and rest. Of course, they can also find their own favorite spot in the house. 😊

Over: I've been surrounded by cats and dogs since I was a small child, along with chickens and ducks, so I truly understand how to read and care for different animals' needs. I have my own cat whom I completely adore and take care of every day, and I've also looked after many dogs over the years. Feeding, walking, and playing with them for neighbors, friends, and family. For example, I used to regularly walk and take care of my neighbor's two Maltipoos, and I genuinely miss that daily routine with them since she moved to another city. I'm separately studying animal psychology to better understand both cats' and dogs' behavior, which helps me provide calm, attentive, and knowledgeable care for any pet I look after. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I'm available to care for pets throughout the entire day including feeding, walks, playtime, or simply keeping them company. Since I'm not tied to fixed working hours, I can easily adapt to whatever routine works best for your pet, whether that's mornings, afternoons, or evenings. I live in a two-room apartment with a balcony, and I can only host cats there, since I have my own cat who doesn't get along well with dogs. For dogs, I prefer to come to the owner's home instead. From my experience, some animals get quite anxious when their environment suddenly changes and they're surrounded by unfamiliar people, so staying in their own familiar space is often the better and calmer option for them.

Ik zorg ervoor dat het huisdier voldoende eten en drinken krijgt, de nodige aandacht en beweging krijgt en zich comfortabel voelt. Bij de verzorging bij het baasje thuis houd ik mij aan de gewoontes en instructies van het baasje, zodat het huisdier zich zoveel mogelijk op zijn gemak voelt.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.

Tijdens het verblijf hield Shaima ons dagelijks op de hoogte met lieve berichtjes, updates en leuke foto’s. Ze nam echt de tijd om ons mee te nemen in hoe het met Blizzard ging, wat we als heel prettig hebben ervaren. Ze stelde gerust vragen wanneer dat nodig was, wat haar zorgzaamheid en betrokkenheid alleen maar bevestigde. Wat we ook enorm waardeerden: Shaima merkte dat Blizzard soms wat vaker naar buiten moest omdat hij het niet altijd even goed kon ophouden. Ze heeft zich daar meteen op aangepast en is meerdere keren korte wandelmomentjes met hem gegaan. Zo lief, ze keek echt naar wat hij nodig had. En het allerbelangrijkste: Blizzard had het zó naar zijn zin, dat we bij het ophalen bijna het gevoel kregen dat hij liever nog even bij Shaima bleef. Op de foto’s en video’s zagen we ook hoe blij en ontspannen hij was, en hoe liefdevol zij met hem omging. Wij komen zéker terug bij Shaima. Het was voor ons (en voor Blizzard!) echt een ontzettend fijne en warme ervaring. We raden haar met alle vertrouwen aan!”

Over: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family had three dogs over the years, and I looked after each one from puppy all the way to senior age, including all the extra care and patience that comes with an older dog. Most recently, I took care of a dog that needed daily medicine and treatment for a ripped paw pad, so I'm comfortable with health routines too, not just walks. I've also worked as a dog walker and sitter, and whether it's your dog or my own, I treat them all the same way: like family. As a freelancer, I mostly work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. That means I can fit in walks, feedings, or check-ins at times that actually work for your schedule, not just early mornings or evenings. It also means I'm not rushing between appointments, so your dog or cat gets my full attention while I'm there. When pets stay with me, they have plenty of room to settle in. My apartment has a big, spacious living room and kitchen area, and I usually set up a cozy corner just for them so they always have a safe spot to retreat to, while still being free to roam and explore the rest of the apartment. I let them explore at their own pace and approach me when they're ready, rather than the other way around. I might try to make contact with a treat here and there, but I never force it if they're not comfortable yet. For walks, I'm lucky to live close to three parks, so there's always a good spot nearby to stretch their legs.
