Over: I've had dogs all my life, however in the past 15 years I have focused on senior pet rescue, foster, and hospice. One of our dogs even had a pace maker! I have extensive experience in medication administration and a deep love for all animals. Right now we have a senior toothless chihuahua which is why we limit the size of pets we take in our home. However, if you have a large dog that is older extremely gentle and mild mannered we can discuss having our dogs meet and exceptions can be made. I would also consider a 2nd dog from the same household. Between my husband and I one of us is always home with our senior so no one will be left unattended. If I am coming to your pet I accept everyone and adapt to your pets individual needs and environment. The environment we provide is calm, safe, comfortable, and quiet with constant supervision. Pets are allowed on the furniture with pet stairs and blankets provided. If I am coming to your home I adapt to your pets needs and environment to keep it as routine as possible for them.

Aangezien ik nooit huisdieren van mijn ouders mocht, zocht ik de dierenliefde op deze manier op. Aangezien ik op dit moment nog steeds geen hond heb, vind ik het leuk om op jouw lieve dier te passen! Ik vind het leuk om met honden te spelen, te knuffelen en goede wandelingen te maken. Ik werk als adviseur, waarbij ik veel vanuit huis werk. Ik kan dit werk overal doen, waardoor ik veel tijd heb om jouw hond gezelschap te geven en veel aandacht. Ik verzorg uw hond precies naar de regels en de gewoontes die hij of zij is gewend, aangezien ik uw regels en gewoontes letterlijk overneem. Zo is er duidelijkheid en rust bij zowel u als baasje en uw hond, en ook bij mij.
Over: Ik heb 14 jaar een eigen hond gehad en daardoor veel ervaring opgedaan met dagelijkse verzorging, wandelen en het aanvoelen van honden. Daarnaast heb ik regelmatig met veel plezier op honden van anderen gepast. Ik ben rustig, betrouwbaar en geef graag persoonlijke aandacht. Ik heb nu 2 pomeranians (echt mijn eigen hondjes) en die zijn super lief en heel vrolijk en speels met andere hondjes, groot, klein maakt allemaal niks uit voor ze. Ik heb een flexibele baan dus alles kan in overleg, soms werk ik in de weekenden en soms door de weeks of ben ik weer een paar dagen vrij. Je hond heeft wat gezelschap met mijn hondjes en ik laat ze vaker per dag uit. Ik heb heel veel speelgoed, puppypads liggen ook binnen, een kattenbak hebben we, op aanvraag kan ik ook bij u thuis komen (zonder honden indien gewenst).

Over: Hallo, mijn naam is Tom Knapen. Ik ben 20 jaar oud en een betrouwbare dierenliefhebber met ruim 4,5 jaar ervaring in de dierenbranche. Gedurende deze periode heb ik gewerkt bij Bea’s Dierenboetiek in Haarlem, een dierenspeciaalzaak met een breed assortiment voor huisdieren. Daar heb ik veel kennis opgedaan over honden en katten, met name op het gebied van voeding, gedrag, training, verzorging en dagelijkse beweging.  Vooral met honden heb ik veel ervaring. Ik ben vertrouwd met verschillende rassen, leeftijden en persoonlijkheden en begrijp hoe belangrijk een vaste routine, voldoende beweging en persoonlijke aandacht zijn. Naast mijn ervaring met dieren heb ik ook regelmatig op woningen gepast. Ik ben netjes, verantwoordelijk en ga altijd zorgvuldig om met iemands huis, spullen en privacy. Betrouwbaarheid en duidelijke communicatie staan bij mij voorop. Op dit moment werk ik parttime, waardoor ik veel flexibiliteit heb om aandacht te geven aan honden. Dit betekent dat ik ruim de tijd heb voor wandelingen, spelen, verzorging en het bieden van rust en gezelschap wanneer dat nodig is. Ik vind het belangrijk dat een hond zich op zijn gemak voelt en een fijne, stabiele dag heeft. Vanaf september start ik weer met mijn studie. Dit geeft mij een rustige en gestructureerde dagindeling, waarbij ik tussen mijn studiemomenten door graag tijd vrijmaak voor wandelingen en aandacht voor de honden. Studeren doe ik vaak met een hond in de buurt, wat ik juist erg prettig en rustgevend vind. Ik pas mijn wandelingen en activiteiten aan op de behoefte van de hond: van korte rustige rondjes tot langere, actieve wandelingen. Zelf haal ik ook veel ontspanning uit buiten zijn en bewegen. In de weekenden ben ik in principe vrijwel altijd beschikbaar en flexibel inzetbaar. Wanneer ik bij u thuis voor uw hond zorg, staat rust, vertrouwen en een fijne dagelijkse routine centraal. Ik ben van nature rustig en geduldig, waardoor honden zich snel op hun gemak voelen bij mij. Ik pas mijn zorg volledig aan op de behoefte van de hond. Dat betekent dat ik lekker actief en speels kan zijn wanneer de hond daar behoefte aan heeft, maar ook juist veel rust kan bieden bij oudere honden of honden die dat nodig hebben. Ik vind het belangrijk om goed te kijken naar het karakter en de energie van de hond, zodat elke dag prettig en gebalanceerd verloopt. Ik heb ervaring met oudere honden en honden met speciale behoeften, zoals slechter zicht of dementie. Hierbij vind ik het juist mooi om extra geduld, structuur en geruststelling te kunnen bieden. Daarnaast zorg ik ook voor gezelschap en aandacht tijdens de dag. Ik ben een rustige, betrouwbare aanwezigheid in huis, wat veel honden prettig vinden wanneer hun eigenaar er even niet is.
Over: Hey there! I'm a 29-years-old girl from Brazil and I love speeding time in nature and with pets around as much as I can. I've always had pets, while growing up I had 7 dogs, 2 cats and 5 birds hahaha. It was crazy, but also so happy and with so much love! So I have a lot of experience with pets and I learnt how to take care of them properly. I live alone and spending time with animals makes me very happy. Unfortunately, I can't have my own pet here in NL, because I may have move to another country or back to Brazil in a couple of years. So I miss having pets around me. That's why I came to Rover. Well, I work at the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is 45 minutes from my place. The rest of the week I work from home. Sometimes I get to stay the entire week at home, so I have a very flexible agenda and by that and have plenty of time to take care of your pets. My apartment has two floors with a lot of natural light coming in. It has an open-plan leaving room, where the pets I host usually stay. It is located in residencial area and close to Groenendaal forest and many others greenery areas to enjoy, where I usually go for a walk or run with the pets I take care of. I have lovely neighbors, all pets friendly. In addition, as I live alone and I will not transfer care of the pets, I will take care of them by myself, as if they were my own.

In overleg is opvang bij mij thuis eventueel ook mogelijk wanneer dat echt nodig is. Ik laat een hond niet zomaar alleen en kijk goed naar wat het dier nodig heeft.

She agreed to watch my dog less than 12 hours in advance, and then agreed to meet me at the train station instead of me dropping off the dog at her place, which shows how kind and thoughtful and helpful she is!!! The weekend that my dog spent at her place was amazing too. I got updates 5+ times per week, with pictures of my dog, my dog was walked for multiple hours a day, she was allowed everywhere in the house; and Lada was veryyyy attentive to her needs and always checked in with me on what she could do extra. She even invited me for tea after the dog stay. I genuinely couldn’t recommend her more, i’d trust her to watch my dog anytime!”
Over: In my opinion, looking after dogs it's a great responsibility because who owner of a dog I know that it is very important for the family. About their care, dogs are all different, like people, and each one has their own way of communicating and feeling trustworthy. I like to respect the dog's time to feel comfortable with me to have a friendly relationship and make them feel safe. I have a flexible hours because I work by project, so if we arrange a day before, I can adapt my schedule. Also I don't have any problem to look after them a workable day as well as a weekend. First at all, I would ask the owner if the dog had special treatment for health or behavior. Second, I would ask what type of game it usually plays and I would adapt to its way of playing. Third, what are its times for eating or going for a walk.
