Over: Ik heb eigenlijk altijd met dieren gewoont en er hart voor gehad, zelf heb ik bij een dierenhotel gewerkt met voornamelijk honden en beseft dat het veel leuker is om voor mezelf te werken zolang er maar honden om me heen zijn. Over: Mijn liefde voor dieren is er al zo lang ik me kan herinneren. Ik ben opgegroeid met de goedzak Lester, een zwarte labrador en later kwam daar een vrolijke adoptiehond, Puca, uit Spanje bij. Zelf heb ik nu geen hond, maar ik vind het heerlijk om voor die van een ander te zorgen. Zelfs op mijn werk weten collega’s inmiddels: moet er een hond ergens heen, dan bel je mij. In mijn HR-profiel heb ik dat stiekem ook een beetje als ‘specialisatie’ benoemd. Ik verzorg dieren met veel liefde, geduld en aandacht. Elk beestje is uniek en ik pas me daar met plezier en liefde op aan. De gezelligheid die dieren met zich meebrengen, is voor mij echt goud waard. Met mijn ex-partner had ik een vakantiehuisje in Denia, Spanje. Elke keer als ik daar was, maakte ik een ritje naar het plaatselijke asiel om een hond uit te laten en wat extra liefde te geven, dat werd al snel een vast ritueeltje. Thuis heb ik geen hond, maar wel een ontzettend lieve Noorse Boskat van 10, Marley. Door privéomstandigheden woont ze nu tijdelijk bij mijn moeder, maar ik zoek haar nog vaak op. Ze komt me altijd vrolijk begroeten als ik binnenkom, zit op commando en apporteert haarelastiekjes. Ze geeft me een beetje het gevoel dat ik tóch een hondje heb, op haar eigen unieke manier. Op social media zie ik vaak filmpjes van mensen die dieren (in nood) tegenkomen en redden. Hoe triest sommige verhalen ook zijn, diep vanbinnen hoop ik stiekem dat ik ooit zelf in zo’n situatie kom, zodat ik kan helpen. Mocht ik ooit de loterij winnen (of het gewoon zelf bij elkaar weet te sparen), dan wil ik op een (stads)boerderij wonen en daar dieren opvangen die een veilige plek nodig hebben. Op maandag en woensdag ben ik de hele dag beschikbaar om huisdieren te verzorgen, zowel bij mij thuis als bij het baasje. Ook in het weekend maak ik hier graag tijd voor, met veel aandacht voor veiligheid en vertrouwen. Ik zorg altijd met veel aandacht en geduld voor huisdieren, of dat nu bij mij thuis is of bij het baasje. Een vertrouwde en veilige omgeving staat voorop: ik neem de tijd om het dier rustig te laten wennen en houd goed rekening met hun gewoontes, voeding en beweging. Ook volg ik nauwkeurig de instructies van het baasje op, zodat het dier zich zo comfortabel mogelijk voelt.

Over: Al van jongs af aan ben ik een groot dierenliefhebber. De komst van mijn eerste eigen hond was dan ook zeker een feestje. Januari vorig jaar mocht ik mijn eerste hondje verwelkomen, een Australian Shepherd mo genaamd Maeve. Met Maeve ben ik actief in een groot aantal sporten. Zo zijn wij bezig met agility, detectie, canicross, schapen drijven, trick training, Rally-O en obedience. Ook zijn wij regelmatig op show te vinden. Daarnaast heb ik ook de nodige kennis van lichaamstaal. Ik doe niets liever dan op pad zijn met mijn hond. Heerlijke boswandelingen of een korte trainingssessie, zolang er plezier is geniet ik ervan. Vanuit huis uit heb ik al meerdere jaren ervaring met verschillende dieren, waaronder katten, honden, paarden en knaagdieren (en sommige vogel soorten). Ook heb ik twee jaar in een dierenspeciaalzaak gewerkt waardoor ik een breed scala aan kennis heb. Vanwege extra tijd zoek ik een aantal viervoeters om gezellig mee op pad te gaan, of die wat extra aandacht thuis kunnen gebruiken. Neem vooral contact op om de mogelijkheden te bespreken. Verzorging van uw huisdier kunnen we in overleg helemaal op maat maken. Ik vind het belangrijk om voor ieder dier de tijd te nemen. Karakters van dieren zijn zo anders per dier en hebben vaak even nodig om zichzelf te uiten en op hun gemak te zijn. Daarom kijk ik graag naar ieder individueel dier en zijn of haar behoeftes.

Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. A few years later, I am now living in Amsterdam, working full-time with dogs at a fantastic farm facility outside of the city, and finishing up my Master's degree. I work a few days a week at a dog daycare organisation on a rural farmland property outside of Amsterdam. On my working days, if I am looking after a dog, I like to bring them with me so that they can socialise with the pack. All transport is done using a fully converted, dog-friendly wagon with additional AC (and lots of cookies!). If a dog needs to be left alone or doesn't get along with other dogs, this can also be easily accommodated during the day in a safe, penned-off area at the facility. On my days off, I am entirely flexible and work from home while finishing my Master's thesis, making my routine highly compatible with dedicated pet care. I live with my girlfriend in a large, multi-room apartment in the Rivierenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The location is convenient for dogs and humans alike, being just a short walk from several metro stations and with easy drop-off outside via street access. We are lucky to be located just a stone's throw away from Beatrixpark and Martin Luther Kingpark, with the Amstel and the Amsterdamse Bos close by, providing some wonderful green spaces right on our doorstep for daily walks. Our apartment has two balconies (one of which gets the sun all day long ☀️☀️☀️) and plenty of comfy space inside for dogs to relax. All my dog guests get an entire room to themselves to ensure they have their own quiet and safe space to rest—unless, of course, they prefer to cuddle up with us on the sofa or in bed... Because of my professional background managing packs, safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities, whether looking after a pet in my home or yours.

Over: I have extensive pet care experience spanning eight years, starting in 2016. Beyond routine care, I've regularly tended to dogs in shelters and have experience fostering them. With a personal pack of four dogs, ranging from small to medium breeds, I'm well-versed in managing various canine personalities and needs. Additionally, I specialize in training both puppies and seniors, ensuring they receive tailored care and attention suited to their age and development stage. As I'm currently just finished my Master Degree and working hybrid! I have ample flexibility in my schedule to prioritize pet care. I can seamlessly integrate it into my daily and weekly routine, ensuring that your furry friend receives the attention and care they deserve. I'm available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends, providing consistent and reliable care tailored to your pet's needs. In my apartment, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a nurturing environment for pets. Whether in my home or a pet owner's, I ensure a secure space where pets feel comfortable and cared for. Dogs are welcome to stay in my bed if that's their preference, and I'm diligent about maintaining a pet-friendly environment. Near my home, there's a park where pets can enjoy outdoor activities and socialization. I take precautions to safeguard pets from any potential hazards and provide a loving atmosphere where they can thrive.

Your dog will be coming into a calm, dog-savvy home run by people who genuinely love this - not somewhere treating it as a side hustle. I offer boarding at my place, house sitting at yours, and dog walks in and around Hilversum and the Gooi. I keep numbers small on purpose so that your dog gets real attention, a proper routine, and someone who actually notices if something feels off. I use an intake form with every booking so I know your dog's routine, quirks, health needs, and what they're like with other dogs before anything is confirmed. No surprises for either of us. I am additionally comfortable with senior dogs who need calm over chaos and dogs with specific routines or sensitivities. I ask for: honest answers on the intake form and a quick meet-and-greet before boarding or sitting bookings. Pet care isn't something I fit around a busy schedule, it is the priority when I have a booking. I work from home, which means dogs in my care aren't left alone for long stretches during the day. Walks, feeding, rest, and outdoor time follow your dog's natural routine as closely as possible, not mine. I keep bookings small so I'm never stretched across too many dogs at once. My home is calm, dog-proofed, and already shared with 2 dogs of my own, so incoming dogs arrive into a settled environment. Before any boarding or sitting booking I use a detailed intake form covering health, behavior, feeding, and emergency contacts, plus a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good fit. I use a signed agreement with every client. If something feels off with a dog during a stay such as appetite, energy, behavior, I notice and I communicate that. Owners hear from me with updates; they don't have to chase me for them.
