At age 11, I had an "internship" at the Madison Park Vet Clinic which was really an excuse to spend a few hours after school hanging out with pets. From then on I was hooked on pet care! I’m lucky enough to have spent most of my 20's walking & sitting all kinds of dogs, cats, and other pets around Seattle. What makes my services unique: communication is the most important aspect of this work, so I will put a lot of effort toward making sure we are on the same page to ensure a comforting, relaxed, safe environment for your pet(s). I am exceedingly organized and reliable, and I apply this to all areas of my life. I am tall & strong, so I am comfortable with and have a lot of experience exercising large dogs. Lastly, I approach my life and work with humor and playfulness, which I believe is essential to building lasting relationships with pets.

My ability to make your pet(s) feel relaxed and happy depends on two things: sticking to the pet’s typical care & routine, and building my own relationship with them! So, my focus is primarily on communicating very clearly with you both in advance and during my stay to ensure that your pet(s) are as comfortable and happy as possible while you are away.

Zan is the best! She took Fergus, our dog, on a couple of local adventures during the week she stayed at our house. Hazel, our cat who is very judicious with her affection, snuggled in close. Zan is an excellent communicator and left our house spotless!
Zan had helped us before by walking our dogs, but we just had her dog sit them for 4-nights. My dogs had a great time with her while we were gone, she took on our laundry list of instructions without a problem, and left the house spotless!! Her communication is also great. We were gone for a family memorial, and it was such a relief to focus on being with family and not worrying at all about if our high-energy dogs were doing ok. We would absolutely recommend Zan to anyone!

Zan was fantastic with our kitties while visiting twice a day during our most recent 8 day trip. She shows up consistently, communicates proactively and goes the extra mile to deal with accidents like cat barf on a rug. Loved getting photos and little videos of the beasts regularly. Would definitely recommend her as our home was clean and our kitties were relaxed and happy when we got home.
Zan was responsive and communicative with sweet updates and cute pictures. We appreciated how much outdoor time she had with our pup. House was as clean as we left it. Thank you Zan.
Zan was great! I booked her last minute due to a cancelation from another sitter and she was very accommodating to my schedule. I could tell right away that she really cares about animals and want them to feel comfortable. I came back to a clean house and happy dog. I would definitely have her watch Kita again.

Schedule
I’m available for house sitting dogs & cats anywhere in Seattle. I currently live in Denmark but am home for the summer, so I have limited dates available but full availability (no work obligations) to care for your pet(s)! This means tons of time with them, more attention, and long walks for those who need lots of exercise.
