My daily schedule is extremely flexible so I can give your pup regular attention. I work from home and have countless trails out my back door (Baldy/Breckenridge). My house is a relatively large, open and bright 3 bedroom townhouse with a large patio and lots of sunlight and space.

While my yard is shared and small, I have miles and miles of trails within 50ft of my front door, and a massive 15ft patio where dogs like to hang out and watch the world outside (or just enjoy the weather!!). I tend to keep dogs close and change where I’m hanging to be with them. I want to build a relationship with them that persists beyond simple feeding and walking times. I make them a part of my life so they get constant attention (noting intermittent distraction) and are allowed on beds and furniture. I believe that dogs give us more than we could ever reciprocate and my care tends to reflect the goal of giving some of that back to them. I build trust with a dog from the ground up and let them approach the day and relationship with me at their own pace. I use positive affirmation where possible and apply the principles from the book “How to be your dogs best friend” in all of my interactions.

If you were your dog, how would you describe your perfect day? What makes your dog stressed? And perhaps more importantly, what makes them happy and brings the most joy? Do they prefer quiet and intimate settings, or the excitement of public spaces and socialization?
A typical day
I curate the experience per owner preference and the dog’s personality. Some days we stay at home and take a hike down Baldy trailhead. These days usually involve small walks every few hours and a bike walk (or hike) at lunch, EOD, or both. Other days we go to Carter Park dog park to play and socialize for an hour after work. Sometimes dogs like to be out and about so we go to Gravity Haus to use the co-work space (dog friendly!) and interact with a bunch of nice folks in the town. If your dog likes making friends, but doesn’t like the public environment, I sometimes organize walks with friends that also have a dog. And for the sick or elderly, tend to replace the hike with a short walk (or drive) somewhere within their means where they can soak up the great outdoors. That always made my pup happiest even when he couldn’t spring around anymore.

I’ve watched pups for friends and family since I can remember but never had my own until I was an adult and had the space, time, and resources to give a dog the life it deserves. His name was Bubba - a Bernese Mountain Dog that never met a stranger and never had a bad day outside. He lived an amazing, happy, adventure filled life but passed over the rainbow bridge last year - so now I'm available to give the love he showed and taught me back to your best friend! I've been a go-to resource for dog watching needs in my circles over the years because they know I’ve never met a pup I don’t like (Bubba taught me that) and even timid dogs tend to like me (I try to speak dog?) I’ve helped raise multiple puppies and have lived with dogs the last 10+ years - both my personal soul dog (Bubba) and with many dog roommates - up to four (4) at a time. Although I've been around a lot more big dogs I've also lived with and have experience caring for small pups. When a dog is around they become my priority. I bought a van so that my dog never had to be left at home when I go to the mountains, and then later moved to the Breckenridge so that my dog would have a better life and we could hike and adventure more routinely. He was a regular in town and on the trails. In July 2024 I lost my soul dog to a battle with cancer, so I have experience with dedicated end of life care, administering medication, identifying and dealing with complex and challenging symptoms, digestive problems, and other medical issues. I've also participated in end-of-life care for family members and have supported emergency care procedures for both friends and strangers. I now live alone and no longer have dogs living in my space, but I continue to prioritize time with dogs, and often borrow pups from my friends when going on a hike. Many of my photos are of the dogs themselves. You’ll often catch me behind the scenes taking quality photos to share and remember the adventure. Tim was incredible with our unsure pup. He was so patient and kind as he built up trust with her, and by the time we picked her up, she was happily pawing at him for attention even when she could have had our attention. He realized that taking her for walks helped her get comfortable and he put in miles with her, taking great pictures along the way to keep us updated. We will look to book Tim again for another ski day with zero hesitation.
Tim is the best! He was more than accommodating with our crazy plans. Hunter, our 10 year old rescue of 2 years was in the best hands. Tim figured out Hunter’s quirks and gave him a week of his best life going for walks down the trail and playing in the snow, on top of being Hunter’s best friend for the week. Tim kept us updated with texts and pictures, calming our anxiety of leaving Hunter for the week. I can’t say enough about Tim and his heart and professionalism!
We loved it! Super easy communication, and Luna had an amazing time with Tim. She came home happy and exhausted!
