Pet care experience

Enrichment-based care ♥️

I've been helping out families I know with dog and cat sitting since 2020 and am ready to do it in a more formal way. ——- Here's the story: my behaviorally-complex bestie turned me into a dog trainer, and now my day job is helping other families like mine. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP). ——- I like to take things slow when I meet a new pet, unless they're not into that kind of thing and would rather go straight to sharing our personal space. I can take a hint...because I've spent time learning body language! ——— I believe in meeting an individual's needs based on their responses to activities. We can find all kinds of projects to fulfill your pet's physical, mental, and emotional needs. Enrichment is the key! ——- I also have lots of experience caring for reptiles and amphibians, and I share my home with two snakes. 🐍

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

As a Fear Free Certified Professional, the comfort of the pet in front of me is my #1 concern. I love engaging pets with mentally stimulating activities that allow the expression of their natural behaviors. Since I build enrichment plans for pets for a living, I tend to find creative ways to incorporate what is available to help pets use their bodies and brains to have a good time.

Tiffany is an incredibly skilled animal behavioralist, trainer, pet sitter, and friend to all creatures. Tiffany helped us train our bernedoodle from a young pup, reinforcing the behaviors she learned in puppy school and helping us to better understand how to keep her happy in a human world. She also stepped in as cat sitter for my 2-year-old cat Mei, who was so obsessed with Tiffany that if she ever came to the door, Mei would start literally screaming with meows to get to her. My animals absolutely LOVE Tiffany, and it went so beyond her just being a nice person and caring for them. She literally built dog and cat puzzle games out of toys and trash to give them something to rummage in and keep them happy and engaged. Over her years of professional training and parenting her own adopted dog, she knows so many techniques and environmental adjustments to help make your pet feel safe, secure, enriched, and engaged. I moved away to California a couple months ago, so she can't pet sit for us all the time any more, but I'm hoping to fly her out just to watch the cat sometime! Mei would be so excited!
