About Sydney S.

Safety, trust & environment
I work very hard to establish trust with, not only families, but pets as well! I work with dogs for my job, so it is important to me that I know warning signs and body language of an animal in order to best fit their needs. If I am in someone's home, I will respect the space given to me when trusted to properly care for someone's animal/s. I also respect the space of an animal, meaning that if they are making it clear that they do not want affection or for me to me in their space, I will respect that unless it is absolutely necessary for me to push that boundary (feeding, nail trims, etc.)
Information Sydney S. would like to know about your pet
I am comfortable working with special needs pets, behavioral pets, and senior pets, as well as puppies and kittens! I would like to be informed ahead of time if any of these titles fit your pet, or if there is anything else I need to know!
A typical day
During a day of pet-sitting, it typically starts with a meal if needed, and some mental stimulation for them with playing, a walk, or having them perform tasks for a treat. After that, I would let the animal/s decompress with a nap or relaxation time. In the evening, I would feed your pet dinner, administer any medication necessary, and take them out one more time before bed.

Pet care experience
I work at a doggy daycare as both a dog attendant in the daycare setting and a receptionist. As a daycare attendant, I work with dogs big and small to tend to their needs while monitoring their behavior to ensure they are in a safe and healthy environment! As a receptionist, I work with clients when it comes to taking care of their questions about their dogs, I work with vaccination files, and I am certified to administer medication to the animals. I prepare meals, take care of dogs who do not go into daycare, do hourly cleaning, and work to ensure their is adequate communication between staff. I also have had dogs my entire life, including my family and I fostering and rehabilitating dogs that come from traumatic situations.
Reviews
Sydney provides excellent care and attention to all dogs, regardless of age or size. She clearly loves them as if they are her own. She is responsible, timely, and a great communicator. My dog loves the time begets to spend with her.
