Autumn's Pad
My husband and I started with Dog Vacay (now Rover) in 2014 to fill a huge hole in our hearts after losing our beloved Bitsy. Named after our sweet senior rescue Pom, Autumn's Pad opened its doors to hundreds of guest pups and their lovely parents (plus dozens of fosters) over the course of 11 1/2 years while we lived in Los Angeles. Last year, we said tearful goodbyes to our furry friends and moved to Detroit. Now that our fence is up and all is secure, we're ready to welcome pups back to Autumn's Pad! When you bring your baby to Autumn's Pad, he or she will receive the same love and attention we have bestowed on our own pets. We both work from home and our visitors are the center of our existence. Our house is safe and spacious, with a fully secure, enclosed sunny and grassy back yard. We host only small dogs, under 20 pounds, so you can be assured that your petite pup will have playmates his or her own size. We can accommodate your vacation schedule, too, and have happily opened the doors for drop-offs and pick-ups from 5 a.m. to midnight. Autumn's Pad is your dog's happy place, where he or she will have plenty of exercise, fun and love! Autumn wouldn't have it any other way.

Lucy had a blast at Sarah’s! This was Lucy’s first time staying with Sarah, and she seemed to enjoy herself. She made fast friends with the other dogs staying there. Sarah has a secure fenced in backyard with lots of space for Lucy to run around and play. I loved getting regular updates and pics from throughout the stay. Thank you for taking good care of our pup! We’d love for her to stay with Sarah again in the future.

I have an older dog that was taking medication while Sarah was watching him. Sarah did a fantastic job of keeping him happy and comfortable and making sure he got his meds. 10/10 great sitter, best I’ve used on Rover.

My husband and I both work from home, so we're with your baby all day long. They typically hang out right next to me in my office.

We have a big yard, plus plenty of space in the house. The doggies usually like to stay and play together, but there's lots of room to spread out if they don't.

A typical day
The pups usually hang out right next to me in my office while I work and follow me around the house when I stand up. They will also have a big back yard for running and playing.

- Meet-and-greets are a must. All dogs must be under 20 pounds, but also not exceptionally long-legged. Puppies are allowed, but not if they are expected to grow out of that weight range. No pit bulls and bully breeds.
