Hi, I'm Sam! I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and have been back and forth from there and the Tahoe area for about three years now. This time around, I moved to Truckee in November, with my husband Nico, and plan to be here long term. He often assists me with pet sitting so we can assure your pets get the quality time they need and deserve in a day. I have owned pets my entire life and have much experience with other people's pets as well. At home, I raised my current dog Margo from a puppy, tended to my previous cats and dogs when they got old, and have had experience fostering and then later adopting an aggressive and unpredictable rescue dog. I started walking and pet sitting my neighbor's dogs at the age of 12. I have house/pet sat for cats and dogs of every kind, including old dogs who have accidents in the house and skittish dogs who are afraid of people. I also have experience administering insulin shots to cats. In college, I continued my dog walking and house/pet sitting, and this past summer 2024, I spent almost every day pet/house sitting. Most recently, I adopted a bunny, so I've been caring for her and now have experience with small animals as well. I love animals more than anything in this world and am so excited to meet all the adorable pets in this area.

I am able to provide any service the pet might need, including medications, baths, any special routines or extra attention, I am able to do and accommodate it all. I can also take your pets on many fun outings, short or long, depending on their needs!

Samantha took such amazing care of our dog, Archie! He truly had the best time with her. She even brought him to work with her every day, and he got so many walks and adventures—it was clear he was living his best life. She was fantastic with communication, keeping us updated throughout his stay with regular messages and lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. Archie has special needs, so leaving him can be stressful, but Samantha immediately put all of our nerves at ease. Knowing he was in such caring, capable hands made all the difference. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely recommend Samantha to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like family!

Samantha did awesome with my XL bully’s that are very large and can be intimidating. Dogs were very happy!
Samantha provided a great walk for my pup. My dog is very shy and timid, but was willing to go with Samantha. He calm energy helped my dog feel more comfortable with her.
Samantha and Nicco house/ dog sit Mikaela for us. They are near, trustworthy and excellent dog sitters. Mikaela was happy, well taken care of, walked and she loves them. I would use Samantha again! Highly recommend.

Schedule
I am currently working at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, however I do not know what job I will have after this one ends in the spring, so I will keep you posted!
