Anxious Pet Specialist

CPR Certified as of 03/29/2025 PRICES ARE NEGOTIABLE. I work on a sliding scale because I don't want cost to lock you out of getting quality pet care. I'm willing to work with you to find something in both of our budgets. Rover doesn't provide as much nuance as I would like so I'm happy to set a custom amount through the app. I have had and helped raise over 30 kittens over my lifetime and I've always had at least one cat in my household. I currently have four. 😅 I've had and taken care of my own dogs, fish, chinchillas, hamsters, snakes, lizards, and a even a chicken.

Sam took great care of my grumpy kitty and made sure she is comfortable. She had to clean up a few accidents and gave me detailed information about my cat’s behavior and issues.

I have a weird, elderly, sassy little minpin, and Sam is just so sweet and understanding with him. Sam truly understands dogs, their behaviors, and what motivates them. I will definitely be rebooking Sam in the future.

Sam always follows my instructions to the letter and provides many wonderful and adorable pictures of my animals even if I don't ask them to, so I always feel assured of my animals' care. Thank you, Sam!

This is our 4th time booking Sam for our grumpy old scaredy cat Gus. Sam is very attentive and she was also able to administer oral pain medication after Gus’s dental surgery. She sends pictures after every visit and a little note. She is the best, will continue to book!

Sam was flexible for us when we needed somewhat irregular midday walks over the last few weeks. Appreciate the help!

Sam was terrific. Not threatened by my protective dog at all. She was patient and calm and Toby eventually relaxed.

Schedule

This is my full time job so I work seven days a week with no start or end time to my day. With that, I need a little flexibility in scheduling but I know Rover makes you select an exact time, but giving me a window of time is super appreciated! I have 1 to 4 regulars, depending on the day (and would love to add a couple more) but still have lots of space in my schedule to see your pets too! I can occasionally take messages in the morning for same day bookings but I usually have everything planned out a week in advance. I'll work with you to make sure we find something that works in your pets' schedule since my wonderful regulars award me some flexibility too. I prefer not to do leash hand-offs so I don't have to coordinate so I can maintain my flexibility incase a dog is walking slower, or I hit traffic. My rate is doubled for last minute bookings (less than 2 hours notice, and offering to pay double is still not a guarantee I will be available to accept the booking) There's an additional charge for gas if you're outside my service area (usually $5 to $20 for the coverage of the entire booking depending on distance and frequency of visits) Additional charges will apply for less than 3 days notice since I'm usually booked at least a week out and it requires me to rearrange my schedule to accommodate you 3 Days before - additional $5-$10 2 Days before - additional $10-$15 Day before - additional $15-$20 Same day - additional $20-$25

I need to know if your dog is reactive to other dogs, people, small children, or anything that might lead to stress in their walk or interactions. If you have cats, I love to know if they're social or like to hide so I know if I should say hi or give them their space. For reptiles, amphibians, and other pets I would just need general information about feeding and misting schedules. For all pets, what they eat and where it's stored and general care information is appreciated.
