*Now available for work starting August 2026! Hello there, I'm Rowan! New to Rover, not to animal care- I'm an artist and animator who takes care of animals on the side. I grew up with a flurry of different pets when I was younger which later led me to attain a lot of experience with all types of critters. Previously I studied animal science and also have experience working at a dog daycare/boarding facility in the past. I work with cats, rodents, and other small animals including fish and reptiles! Animal care comes naturally to me and those who know me have commented on my patience and perception to behavior and social signals from all different types of creatures. I am quick to answer texts and questions and have a flexible schedule. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
Pets
Safety, trust & environment
Cats: I can feed, give medication, and play with them if they're amiable to it. For safety reasons I will not let any cat outside unless you have a trusted, closed in "catio" or the like. Caged small animals: I can feed (legal live food is fine), give medication, clean up enclosures (no deep cleans), and take them out of the cage to play safely. Pets' needs will vary wildly depending on the type of pet you have, so we will work together to figure out what your pet will need while you're away.

Throughout the many years I have known Rowan, she has demonstrated a great love of animals and other creatures both large and small. From working with horses at a stable and dogs at a day care, to caring for her own pets (including a dog, cats, and guinea pigs) at home, to rescuing the spiders and other tiny uninvited visitors that have appeared in her and our homes, Rowan has been consistent in her deep care and compassion for diverse creatures. She is equally solid and reliable in the responsibility she brings to caring for them, and I recommend her as a caretaker of any and all creatures without reservation!
Rowan is a very responsible animal lover, organized, professional, and a good communicator. She has years of experience caring for a wide variety of animals and approaches them with curiosity, kindness, and respect.
