I have had the pleasure of having dogs in my family all my life. As an adult I have raised 3 dogs from puppies and have truly loved the experience. I have trained all of my dogs through classes and working independently with them. I believe in excercise and providing a nurturing environment for animals. Care routine -dogs will receive 2 off-leash walks a day unless owners prefer they are walked on leash. If a dog’s recall is not good they will be kept on leash to ensure their safety. -dogs will be left no more than 4 hours at a time without access to a potty break and a play -dogs will have access to the home and permitted on furniture if owners provide consent. -drop off time is no later than 10pm to ensure dogs have some time to settle in their new environment. -any new dogs coming to stay are encouraged to come for a meet and greet with me and my basset hound to help them feel more comfortable. Any booking request not confirmed within 72 hours of being requested will be cancelled.

Kirby’s second time with Petrina and she cares for him so well. He broke a nail getting out of my car and she quickly pulled out a dog first aid kit, accurately and calmly assessed the wound, and cleaned it with vet approved disinfectant and put pressure and gauze on. And then she effortlessly lifted and carried all 90 lbs of Kirby up the short flight of stairs. She sent lots of photos and updates on how he was doing, including walks. Kirby is picky but does well with her dogs and is excited when he knows we are going there. I completely trust Petrina with my dog.
Petrina was amazing taking care of our dog for 3 weeks! She went above and beyond making sure he had the same care environment he had at home. She provided daily photos and updates about his progress and we could tell he was happy in his temporary home. She made our vacation even better knowing he was doing great. You can easily tell that she really cares about the pets she boards. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her for short or long term stays. Our heartfelt thanks Petrina for making Dex’s stay safe and happy.

I cannot recommend Patricia enough! This was Bluey’s first time with a sitter, and she was understandably nervous, but Patricia is a total dog whisperer. Her calm and collected energy made Bluey feel comfortable in no time. I even managed to forget Bluey’s food, and Patricia was incredibly understanding and helpful about it. She really saved the day when I was in a short-notice bind. If you want someone who is patient, professional, and genuinely great with dogs, Patricia is the one!
Petrina has cared for Digby in the past and he feels very comfortable with her and her dogs. She provides excellent care for him and we highly recommend her.
Petrina always goes above and beyond…our dog had issues and she dealt with these and more…thank you Petrina and family..

Schedule
I currently work half time at home. I exercise my dog once in the morning and again in the evening. I have a good size yard for playing and interacting with your dog.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced good sized yard. Dogs will be kept on leash for walks unless the client prefers off leash walks. Pets will have full access to my home and furniture unless otherwise instructed by the client.
Pets
A typical day
I like to take my dog and any visiting dog for a couple of walks a day. When it’s hot we try and go early in the morning and again later in the evening or we will go to a place with water. I have a yard for playing and of course there will be lots of cuddles available.
