Information Patty S. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs that need extra accommodations and we'll make sure it's a good fit! I have plenty of experience with Huskies and other independent, high energy breeds, as well as reactive dogs

A typical day

I have a number of toys available to play with, will play fetch, see if they enjoy a flirt pole, do some lite training, I like to put treats around a section of the yard for dogs to sniff out as well.

Work from home with a large yard

Pet care experience

I've been around sled dogs my whole life, have dogs of my own, worked at 2 separate boarding kennels/doggy daycares, as well as volunteered and worked at Animal Allies. I am also a hobby dog photographer I work from home, so pups will have frequent outs in my fully fenced in 0.3 acre yard. All guest pups can be kept 100% separate from my own pooches, if need be. If and when the guest(s) settle enough, we'll do introductions with my dogs one at a time. I work from home, so pups get frequent time outside for play. My yard is fenced and large, plenty of room for fetch and play, with a designated digging area for those diggers. Currently will only take guests from one-two families at a time Guest dogs are first out in the morning, last out at night. Any free time before/after work and during multiple breaks (my job is flexible, so I log off mid day while guests are here for extra long play breaks) are spent running around and playing outside. I have puzzle toys I set up 1-2 times/day during rest time for mental stimulation My yard is fenced in, and any dog that's anxious or scared is put on a very long cable tie out until they've settled in and warmed up to me as an extra precaution. I utilize kennels and gates to be sure any anxious, scared and/or reactive dog has at least 2 barriers between them and any other dog at all times to prevent overstimulation and/or any reactivity. I always start introductions to any of my dogs one at a time, when applicable

Patty has been watching our boys for a few years now and they love going to her place!! One of them tried to test her this time and she handled it like an absolute pro!! I never worry when our pups are at Patty’s, she’s our #1 go-to whenever we can’t take our pups with us.

Our dog had his first Rover experience with Patty last weekend and seemed to have a very good time, heat and all. Patty was great with communication and clearly loves dogs and knows how to care for them. We will be booking with her again.
