I grew up on a farm in a rural area of Southern Maine. As long as I have been alive, my family has owned a minimum of 2 pet dogs at any given time. In the meantime, we've also had lots of other animals in our care, like bunnies, rodents, horses, cats, turtles, a donkey, and water buffalo.

Schedule
I am a strong communicator so you will feel confident with me as your sitter. I work at home, and so does my partner, so we can adapt to your dogs schedule. If training, we can go outside every 30 min to an hour. Usually we take 3 walks down the street or around the block, and depending on the dogs' temperament, go do "tricks for treats" at the businesses around me and on mian street. There's a few parks we are near, and dogs are allowed on the beach in the off season so that's where we walk. I love hiking and would love to take your dog with me!

I have one young terrier. The backyard is partially fenced in on a quiet road. Dogs will have a line to a peg in the ground if we aren't out walking. Cats or small animals have their own room, away from my pets. Either door closed or gated, pending on their exposure and comfort level. I look for signs of comfort or stress and adjust accordingly.
Pets
A typical day
We walk around my neighborhood, and if the dogs is high energy, we can walk (leashed) through the big hilly cemetery around the corner. If he is more of a playful pup, we can go to california fields (to be off leash) which isn't too far. Mostly, we will play with toys in my house, especially cats. Both the cat and bunny love to play chase the ribbon. We like to get ice cream, or drive to the beach, so let me know if your dog doesn't like car rides.
