Taking the lead while you're away
I have attended and completed puppy training sessions for all of my 4 pets over the past 35 years. We have loved 2 Springer Spaniels and 2 Labrador Retrievers which are energetic breeds and love the outdoors. Outdoor walks, playtime puzzles and toys to keep doggies engaged and happy is the approach. Most of our family and friends have pets that we have looked after and boarded over the years. Looking forward to getting to know some new furry friends!

You know those people who dogs immediately feel comfortable with? Well, Mary is one of those people! We are always so at ease when she cares for (and spoils!) our doggo... sometimes he doesn't want to come home! She's got a fenced-in yard for quick potty breaks, but is in a beautiful area for lots of walks and outside time to get out those zoomies. Our pup always loves staying with her.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Mary for many years, and I can honestly say that she is one of the most caring, compassionate, and trustworthy pet caregivers I have ever known. Mary has an incredible love for animals, and it shows in everything she does. She is devoted to her own dog and has also been absolutely wonderful with our Great Danes over the years. Our dogs have always been treated with so much love, patience, kindness, and genuine care whenever they were with her. She has a natural way with animals that immediately puts them at ease. What makes Mary so special is that caring for pets isn’t simply a responsibility to her—it truly comes from her heart. She pays attention to their individual needs, makes sure they feel safe and loved, and treats every animal as if they were her own. I feel incredibly fortunate to call Mary a friend, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their beloved pets with the same love and dedication they would give themselves. Mary is not only an amazing pet caregiver, but an amazing person and true animal lover.
Mary is extremely reliable, caring, and responsible. She has had several wonderful, well-behaved dogs of her own and truly loves animals. I would have complete confidence leaving my dog in Mary’s care—she is dependable, attentive, and treats every dog with genuine love and kindness.

Schedule
I'm retired and have great flexibility in my schedule. I also intend to only focus on 1 pet at a time so they will have my full attention.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and love in a very quiet neighborhood with sidewalks providing safe walking. I'm also close to a sports park that also has a lovely path system and has the opportunity for socialization with other walkers. I'm happy to crate your pet if that is the option you are looking for when they are resting.
A typical day
Typical activities would include walking and sniff time in the near by park. Indoor time includes fetching toys and treats lodged into a Kong toy as well as dog puzzles with rewards.

- It important to me to understand any triggers that may cause stress to your pet. I have recently had experience with a friend's "rescue" 1.5 yr old pup. Separation anxiety and fears need to be addressed with consistent mechanisms so the pet can avoid the stress.
