Aloha! Please carefully read through this information as it answers commonly asked questions. I look forward to booking with you! 🐾 About me: My name is Madi, a former graduate student at UH Manoa. I started pet sitting as a way to have fun while earning some extra income. It has been an incredible journey here on Rover and I have met so many wonderful pets and pet owners. I discovered my passion for animals after adopting my own two dogs from the Hawaiian Humane Society, and through pet sitting I feel that I can make a good impact on my community and animal welfare. FAQ's: 1. Meet and greets: We will always schedule in advance to your booking. We will go over your pets routine, expectations, and any pricing questions you may have. 2. Distance: I only own a moped, so if you are located outside urban Honolulu, I will not be able to assist you. 3. Updates and communication: You will receive a minimum 1 photo and text per day. If you would like more, please let me know during our meet and greet. 4. Aggression and fear: I have experience working with fearful and aggressive dogs. However, in these situations it is best to build trust over time, such as frequent walks and desensitization training. I am willing to work with your situation, so please reach out. 5. Availability: My Rover calendar isn't the best way to see my availability. Usually, I have more flexibility than I can put on the Rover calendar. Please book and message me for your dates just in case. 6. Training*: I have a lot of experience working with private pet trainers with my own dogs (puppy, adolescent, and adult dogs). If your pup is already in school, I’m happy to practice their homework with them too. 7. Home clean: If you would like your home feeling extra clean when you return, please mention this during our meet and greet. *Disclaimer: I am not a dog trainer. I am only offering to practice techniques set by the owner or by the pet trainer, and/or pass on advice given to me by professional trainers.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
Currently, my student schedule allows me to have flexible working hours. I am available mostly everyday during normal 9-5 work hours and weekends. Offering my services several times per week allows me to keep a balance between school and Rover services.
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I love to be active with dogs or have chill lazy days! In your home, I go by your preferred established routine. I am open to taking pups on hikes or to the beach if that is their preferred activity (walking distance only, I only own a moped).
Pets
A typical day
I truly believe dogs not only need exercise, but mental stimulation as well! This includes playing sniffing games outside like sniffaris, find-it, super-bowls, etc. I also have extra snuffle mats and Kong toys to bring if requested. If you would like, I can take your dog on a run, as long as they have a well fitted harness. We can run as much or as little as your pup wants.
