I have travelled the country caring for furry friends! I am excited to now be settling in Portland and would love to lend a hand to my community through dog walks, drop-in visits, and home stays for cats and dogs. I have taken care of cats of all personality types and with distinct medical needs. I am an active person and love to get outside with your dogs on leisurely strolls, speed walks, jogs…you name it. I have a very calm and friendly demeanor towards pets, and pet owners have noted how their furbabies warm up to me quickly, sometimes quicker than other strangers. I will be sure to treat your pet with care and attention! My calendar stays up to date. I look forward to connecting with you and your furry friends!

I am a very clean sitter and take care to leave everything as I find it, if I am staying in your home. I make sure to talk with clients about their protocols with litter boxes, what happens in the case of a mess, trash, etc. I always do a quick clean before I leave if I have stayed in your home.

Madeleine is great with our dog. Fig was quickly happy and at ease with her. Madeleine is a prompt and clear communicator and she’s been very easy to work with. It’s an excellent start to what we hope will be a sustained engagement!
Madaleine has been great at communication, and our pup took to her immediately. She’s been taking him on regular hour long walks with park ball time added in.
Madeleine cat sat for me for a week and looked after my super nervous three legged cat Ernie. Mostly he needed feeding and ignoring until he got more comfortable with someone else in the house. Madeleine was great – she was super organized and tidy and gave Ernie plenty of time to adjust. If she lived closer I would use her again!
Madeleine was a trustworthy dog walker for my sweet pup Zeus! She was communicative, and Zeus returned happy and tired out from good walks. She clearly loves dogs and I felt very comfortable with Zeus in her hands. Would recommend Madeleine for your pup care.
Madeleine is an extremely reliable and friendly dog walker. My spouse and I were very happy with her help caring for our new(ish) rescue during a last minute weekend away. So impressive! Can’t recommend her more.
Madeleine is the real deal! She cared for my 2 cats and a water turtle while I was away. I came home to contented and well-cared-for pets. She is trustworthy and kind, a good communicator. Highly recommended!

Schedule
I am a part-time tattoo artist that travels and my schedule isn’t too consistent, but I keep my calendar updated here. I also work part-time remotely for a bicycle advocacy no profit. Regardless of if I am working or not, I enjoy getting out of the house for some outdoor adventure, working on my blacksmithing craft, meeting up with friends, going to events, etc. This means some days I am out of the house 6-8 hours a day. For this reason, for dogs, I’m mainly focused on dog walking and drop-in visits. But if you are OK with me being out of the house for chunks of time some days, please do reach out, I would love to look after your dog in your home! For cats, I am open to home stays and drop-ins. Most of my days are flexible, so I am very able to fit walks and drop-ins into my day.
