Raised in the deep mountains of Montana, I have been surrounded by animals since infancy and grew up with a deep rooted sense of empathy and love for all creatures. In addition to the classic dogs, my sister and I had a childhood filled with bunnies, ducklings, fish, turtles, hedgehogs, birds, horses, mules, and plenty of wildlife to keep things exciting! I have been taking care of pets for nearly my entire life, and am extensively experienced in feeding, walking, bathing, and administering medicine for most household pets. Mainly dogs, smaller rodents, rabbits, and birds. I spent the last several years administering medicine to my late dog, Tango, upwards of three times daily. So I am very recently experienced in taking care of animals with a requirement for lot's of special attention and caregiving. I have also raised 3 puppies with my family in the last 5 years so I’m freshly prepped for little ones. I am the perfect match for you and your pet. ***CAN NOT HOUSE SIT PROPERTY WITH CATS - VERY ALLERGIC**** Dogs give us the gift of joy every day, and I would be so excited to bring a little extra joy to your pets life! Be it by stopping by for a half hour to say hello and play, or making them feel safe and secure while their owner is away.

Lucy took great care of our Tilly and was super easy to communicate and coordinate with.
Lucy was a phenomenal sitter! She watched my dog for a week while I was out of town. She is very kind a competent. I had complete trust in her while I was away. I would not hesitate to leave my girl with her again in the future!
Lucy is wonderful! She did two walks a day for my Golden Retriever while I was out of town! He loves her and would wait by the front door for her each time! She is so sweet and accommodating!
Great first time experience! Lucy was understanding of Bailey 's nervousness of stayin at a strangers place. She kept me updated with pictures and video and also txt. I love she has a big yard and so did Bailey.
Lucy is an excellent dog sitter: Friendly, professional, organized, accommodating, and she has a wonderful and calm way with animals. Her home and yard are perfect for dogs - safe, clean, and set up well for both young and old dogs. Our 11.5 year-old seemed to settle in right away and truly enjoy his time with her. I would definitely call her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great Missoula-based sitter!
Lucy was so accommodating and welcoming to Oliver, my anxious little scruffy terrier. They quickly became pals and he liked having a sleepover and hanging at her house. I appreciate her acceptance of his funny quirks and her kindness.

Schedule
Currently, I am working from home and have wide availability. I am willing to commute a certain distance for pet care, and would require access to cell service and WiFi in the case of a long-term stay.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in the center of Missoula and have fast and easy access to many dog parks and walking trails in the area. I have a large fenced in yard to run and play in. I typically avoid more popular dog parks, but am happy to take your furry friend to any of their favorite spots upon request. I have a large vehicle to transport pets to longer hiking destinations or parks.
A typical day
Dogs love to explore and sniff so I’ll make sure they get all the running and all the smelling they need to be a happy and satisfied pup!
