Your Poodle's Home Away from Home
I lost my beloved standard poodle of 12 years in 2022. I am not a full time pet sitter, but I would love to care for your well-behaved poodle, poodle mix or hypoallergenic dog in my home when you are out of town. I live near Twin Peaks and Sutro Forest and would enjoy taking your dog for daily walks in and around my neighborhood. I miss having dog energy in my home!

Laura is wonderful! Communicative while I’m away and when I drop Luna off she runs right up to her. Luna gets lots of exercise and seems really happy when I’m away. Highly recommend her!
Exceptional care, Laura truly understands what it takes to host dogs with specific needs (energy levels, reactivity triggers etc). My dog Coco had a fantastic time hanging out at Laura’s and going on walks and runs with her. I must also commend Laura’s communication - very responsive, reasonable, always on top of things. Highly recommend. I am already a repeat client by now.
Laura was excellent, she took great care of our high energy dog who took an obvious liking to her as well. Perfect communication, we will definitely be repeat clients.

Schedule
I currently work from home with a flexible schedule so it is easy to care for your dog and give them ongoing attention. My other family members are also dog lovers who enjoy lavishing attention on our canine houseguests. Your dog would rarely, if ever, be left home on their own. I live with my husband, and 2 college age children, who are home summers and holidays.

Safety, trust & environment
My family home is gated in. I do not have other pets at home, and I do not take dogs from more than one client at a time unless you OK it. Your dog will not have to negotiate new relationships if that’s a concern. Our doggie guests sleep wherever they are most comfortable, whether in my room, a crate or a dog bed. I have 2 Sealy brand dog beds and several toys on hand.
A typical day
I typically walk the dogs I care for 4x per day, giving them at least one hour long walk and several 15 minute walks a minimum of every 4 hours. I would walk your dog around Sutro Forest, Twin Peaks or Sutro Tower, all of which are nearby. I sometimes take dogs on additional outings to Golden Gate Park, Land's End, or the beach. For especially active dogs, I can do 3 mile runs in the panhandle. At home, your dog can play with toys, keep us company, and snuggle.
