Kari can care for
Availability
**Just a heads up, that I now work full time at a physical location and your pet would need to be okay on their own while I am away. I need to get out for walks, too, and appreciate furry company. I am available for long weekends and extended stays.

Safety, trust & environment
I like to recreate the pet and pet owner's habits and routines to make the pet feel as comfortable as possible. Being away from their humans can be stressful enough, so I try to make things as familiar as possible.
Information Kari K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has a sensitive stomach or anxiety issues. I am fine and well-versed in both, but for the dog's sake, I like to know in advance. I also like to know if they have issues with other animals, i.e. larger dogs or cats, so I can make sure we give them a wide berth. Do they have favorite toys? What are the times they like to eat and go out? What is their favorite pastime? Do they have a favorite spot in the house? Where do they like to sleep? Do they have any health issues I should know about? Anything else they might want me to know?
A typical day
I am happy to play ball or frisbee with higher-energy dogs and just sit together with quieter or more anxious dogs. I am happy to play with cats or allow them the rule of the roost.

Pet care experience
I'm new to Rover, but I have looked after dogs and cats for decades! I've cared for senior dogs and puppies and dealt with dogs with health issues like diabetes and Cushings. I currently have two energetic dogs and one rather lazy rescue turtle. I treat my own pets as furkids and would do so for yours as well. I have used pet sitters often and strive to be what I would want a pet sitter to be: Reliable, resourceful, caring and knowledgeable. 2SLGBTQ+ friendly! *Adding a note here, as several people have asked: I don’t bring my dogs with me when I am pet sitting, much as I miss them! My spouse takes care of them when I am away. 😊
Reviews

Kari was a fantastic cat/house sitter! She stayed with my Spooky for 5 days and was very flexible and kind enough to offer to stay one extra night as when my flight was landing the weather was very bad. That allowed me to stay with a friend an extra night and not worry about rushing home in bad conditions. I really appreciated that! I will definitely be using her again!

Kari communication was promptly and clear and was great with my pets. I would book with Kari again

Kari is wonderful. She is very responsible and we feel very relaxed leaving our treasured cat Sassy and home in her care. She goes above and beyond to maintain the house and leave things in pristine condition. If you want to leave your pets and home in the very best hands, Kari is for you! 🙏🏻💐✨

Nothing but 5 stars for Kari when it comes to older dogs. Our Golden is 13 1/2 and has on/off stomach issues that we didn't think a pet-sitter would put up with. Kari not only cared for him but left the house spotless and managed the medications perfectly. This will be our last pet-sitter (sadly) and Rover (Kari) allowed us to have a short holiday before we return to almost full time care of our Golden. Thank you Kari!
