I adhere as closely as I can to your pup's normal routine. They need to know what to expect in this new situation, away from you. My part-time job is mostly working from home, so your pup will not be alone for long stretches of time.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a single-story house with a fenced yard, and safe, residential streets and nearby parks for walks and play. I'm experienced with walking leash-reactive dogs needing distance from other dogs, people, cats, etc. Pet visitors are welcome on my furniture! I’m mindful of the cleaning and other household products I use to ensure they are safe around animals (and people). I have baby gates, if needed, to keep your pup safe, and toys to keep them busy. As you can see from my reviews, I understand your dog's anxiety in a new situation and have patience, experience and love to calm their fears and gain their trust.

Please let me know about your dog's special needs: tell me about their routine, how they spend a typical day, so I can follow it as closely as possible. Also what makes them happy and comfortable, what calms them; and what makes them anxious or fearful. Please also tell me about any behavioral issues your pet has, any training you wish reinforced (e.g., staying off furniture, not jumping on people), what food and treats they can or cannot have. What are your dog’s triggers? Many dogs have things that can set them off when they’re on walks: skateboards, bikes, other dogs, people in hats, you name it. what does your dog react to? I am comfortable caring for pets with health issues, with senior dogs, and those of all sizes and most personalities. I will calm your anxious pup and make them feel right at home while you're away.
A typical day
I provide a calm and secure presence for your pet and they’ll get lots of one-on-one attention. If they like, we'll enjoy walks to local parks and around my neighborhood’s quiet streets. In addition, I have a secure, fenced yard. I have toys and balls for play time, baby gates for safety. My flexible lifestyle can accommodate the routine your dog is accustomed to. I enjoy spending much of my time at home, a comfortable, quiet environment, engaged in work or hobbies. I have a part-time job working mostly at home; but will be gone on occasion, normally no more than 4 hours at a time. I love walking, especially with your dog, so we will go for plenty of outings.

Trusted, Single Dog 💖 Care
Pet care experience
Healthy, active senior. I lost my beloved dog Stella, so I have much love and attention to give to yours. I will focus on making your pet feel right at home, loving them as my own. I am a life-long pet owner and lover and have many years of experience loving and caring for many types of dogs (almost all rescues ❤️), at all stages of life, all sizes, all personalities; among them a medium-sized mixed terrier, an Australian shepherd, a Jack Russell, a dalmatian, and most recently, my Stella, a bully rescue from New York City who lived well into her senior years. Because of her, I am experienced with caring for and walking reactive dogs who need distance from other dogs, people, cats, etc., and other accommodations to ensure safety. I very recently moved here from Portland OR. Most photos and references are from my 3 year experience on Rover there.
Reviews

Eve just watched our Great Dane for two weeks, and she was absolutely amazing. From the moment we met her, it was obvious how much she genuinely cared about animals. She made sure our dog always felt comfortable, loved, and completely at ease while we were away. Our Great Dane absolutely adored her, which says everything. Eve treated her like family, gave her tons of attention, and went above and beyond to keep her happy and settled into a routine. She also sent us constant pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to truly relax knowing our baby was in such great hands. We could not have asked for a better experience and would trust Eve again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and attentive with their pets!

Eve is a very caring person and spoiled our 12-year old gal with lots of walks and attention. Her fenced back yard is ideal for some independence and potty breaks. We appreciated the daily photos and updates while we were away. Lana was calm and happy when I picked her up. Highly recommend Eve!

Eve is a great sitter! My dog, Lynyrd was well cared for. I can tell he really likes Eve and that means a lot. Eve follows my care instructions and sends photos. I never have to stress when Eve is sitting because I know he is in good hands! I would highly recommend Eve.

Eve exceeded every expectation. This was Tarah’s first time boarding away from home, but Eve put those worries to rest immediately. The updates were thoughtful and frequent, and the photos she sent made it feel like I was never truly out of the loop. It wasn’t just that Tarah was being looked after — you could tell from every picture that she was actually having a great time. Tarah got plenty of walks, lots of love and attention, and was clearly made to feel at home in an unfamiliar space. By the end of the stay, she’d settled in so comfortably that it spoke volumes about the care Eve put in. I’d rebook without a second thought. Eve is warm, responsive, and genuinely passionate about what she does. If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your pet, look no further.
