Pet care experience

Always down for a walking buddy🐾

I grew up in a dog household and naturally gravitated towards being their primary caretaker. We’ve had a senior dog as well as a puppy and all the stages in between. I was a volunteer at Copper Country Humane Society for 4 years. My primary responsibilities included daily enrichment activities (play time!) as well as feeding and positive reinforcement leash training. For the past two years, I often dog and cat sit for my neighbors. I enjoy being around animals. As a college student, who often travels in the summer, I am unable to have pets of my own, but as a pet sitter, they are still a part of my life. When meeting new pets, I keep in mind to let them approach me and follow their comfortability to build trust.

Emma has been house/pet sitting for us for over 2 years. We have both a high energy dog (Australian Shepherd) and cat. She has proven herself to be very trustworthy, responsible, and our pets love her. We find the house in perfect order when we return. Our dog gets plenty of exercise and just loves Emma. In addition, she has won our cat over (who tends to be not a nice cat). We whole heartedly recommend Emma.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I’m currently a college student so I have many opportunities to go for walks and check in throughout the day. In the past, I have house sat for one-two week periods. I make sure the dog and cat are provided for in the morning and come back after class in the afternoon. The rest of day is dedicated to play, and as needed studying. I am often available on the weekend, reach out for specific times or dates.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I am very respectful of other peoples homes. I have been told it’s returned cleaner than when they left. I abide by the feeding schedule given and any dietary instructions. I enjoy 3 walks a day, morning and night are typically abbreviated (sometimes just being let out) with a longer activity in the afternoon. I occasionally go running, but will respect any instructions for mobility and exercise as well.
