Hello, I'm Ella, a co-op student at Carbon Engineering. I’m studying business at Thompson River University and am an alumni on the TRU’s Women’s Volleyball. Originally from Kamloops, I’ve relocated to Squamish for the year. Growing up surrounded by animals, I've always had a passion for caring for them. Starting my journey with pet-sitting around the neighborhood, I've had the pleasure of being around various pets, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and horses. My love for animals led me to begin house-sitting through Rover in February 2023, which has evolved into a fulfilling side gig. I have extensive experience with dogs, especially German Shepherds, Aussies, and Huskies. From assisting in puppy training with a certified trainer to volunteering at the local SPCA, I've encountered a wide range of animal personalities and ages. Animals seem to sense my genuine affection, quickly forming trust bonds. Rest assured, your beloved pets will receive the same love, care, and maybe a bit of spoiling, as if they were my own.

Taking care of any pet is a huge responsibility. I wish to provide a fun, safe and active service that puts your pets health first. As a dog walker or house sitter, I would always ensure the safety and happiness of your pet. When taking your dog outside they will be closely watched and kept on leash, depending on your wishes. If they’re up for it I would gladly taking them for longer hikes up in the alpine. I think the key to a good sitter/client relationship is to be completely transparent, making sure everyone is on the same page in terms of routine and expectations. I always ensure to ask for permission before making changes, and get all necessary information beforehand.

Ella was excellent! We immediately got good vibes upon meeting and the vibes followed through to excellent care and communication with daily drop in visits for our cat. All instructions followed exactly. Prompt responses to messages. Daily updates with photos when able. Our cat is usually very scared and hide away but he actually stayed out to interact with her which is major and shows a lot!!! Would have no hesitation booking Ella again and hope to do so.
Ella was great with our cat! She communicated really well which gave us peace of mind while we were away and she was very accommodating with the care we needed! Loved the consistent updates!!!
Ella was great to deal with, she bonded very well with my pet. Was great to have daily updates to know my cat was well taken care of and to hear how she was doing. Place was tidy when I got home and my cat seemed like she was doing really well! Would recommend!
Ella was super awesome with my dogs for a weekend that I was away. She was quick to reply and send me updates on my furballs!
Ella was so awesome with our pets; consistent updates and check ins. Edna and Ocelot were happy and very well looked after! 10/10 would book with Ella again.

Schedule
I’m available for sits, drop ins and early morning/ evening walks in Squamish and weekend sits in Whistler, Vancouver and surrounding areas. Right now, my schedule is quite standard. I am based in Squamish and typically work 8-5, Mon-Fri with every second Friday off. Weekend sits are preferable but my company is flexible and allows animals. In terms of weekday sits I wouldn’t be leaving dogs alone, they would come to work with me. If you’re unsure please send me a message and we can see discuss details to see if it might be a good fit.
