I am a recently retired person who lives life to the fullest. I spend half of the year in a small Italian village where I am known as the cat and dog care taker. I love all animals but have had the most experience with cats and dogs. I grew up with dogs and later in life cats were part of our household. Our two beloved cats are now with our children as my husband and I live abroad for part of the year. We do live in old Montreal for the other six months of the year and I welcome the opportunity to care for someone's cat or dog. Be assured, any animal will be cared for and happy! Animals provide so much joy and I am so pleased to be able to spend time caring for these amazing creatures. I would welcome drop in visits for cats, to feed and spend play time with them. I actually miss being around cats in a daily basis! I am also available for house sitting upon request! I am reliable, efficient and welcome the opportunity to care for your pets or home! I would likely prefer to go to a home versus have the pet at our apartment But flexible depending on requirements. We have a large outside terrasse now as well. I would welcome drop in visits as an alternative to going to the home full time.
Ratings and reviews
A 5 minutes walk always become a 20 minutes walk for Debra. This is because she always stops to feed, pet and talk to every dogs and cats that crosses our path. She says that they need love and attention, but when I look at her face, I know that she receives at least at much love than she gives to them. We had 2 cats for several years and when we had to let them go with the kids, she found it very difficult and she is still giving them gifts at X-Mas and sending the. Pictures … she wants to have a dog or a cat but our travelling habits doesn’t allow for it. She has been looking for a way to take care of cats and dogs for sometime now, and she is very thrilled to work with you and can’t wait to start.
Hi there. I think Debra would be an amazing bet sitter. She loves them and always gets on the floor to visit with our golden retriever when she visits. The dog absolutely goes crazy when she arrives ... loves her. She's also a kind of village cat lady in her home town. The cats come out and come visit with her. She always carries little cat treats whenever she leaves and greats them on the way out and back. I would absolutely not hesitate to leave any pets with her ... she's great! I'd be happy to provide more information if required.

Schedule
I am retired and totally flexible. I do spend time in Italy however (in small village with many cats and dogs. And a pony which I tend often), so will be available when in Canada (six months per year or so)
