Pet care experience

Experienced Cat CareTaker

I first adopted a cat 7 years ago, and his name was Ren. He was an older cat who had FIV. At the time of adoption, he was very malnourished. I was able to build up his trust in me and rehabilitate him to have a great coat and healthy weight. Due to his FIV, he also frequently needed various medication. I grew very comfortable giving him different medications, including an inhaler, as he needed it. While he did pass away from cancer recently, caring for him gave me a ton of experience with a cat who needed immense and frequent care. We still have our other cat Kirra that I care for, who is a very normal cat. I am confidant I can help out with your cat as well!

Connor is an experienced pet caregiver who is attentive and loving. He rescued an old stray alley cat with feline leukemia during COVID and, with loving care, nursed him back to health. He provided excellent care and spent many loving years with him until he passed last year. He currently provides care for a Pug and another rescue cat. I highly recommend Connor for responsible and attentive care for your pet(s).

I can personally attest that Connor is an exceptionally responsible and compassionate pet owner. After adopting a cat with preexisting medical conditions, I watched him grow into a truly dedicated caretaker. He patiently and gently administered multiple prescription medications—including the daily negotiations required to convince a deeply unimpressed cat to cooperate with his inhaler—all to ensure his pet had the happiest and healthiest life possible. Connor’s sense of responsibility, empathy, and deep understanding of what it means to love an animal as a member of the family make him an excellent choice for anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. I would have complete confidence leaving my own pets in his care.

Connor is one of the best pet owners I know. His dear cat, Ren, had so many health issues before he passed away due to FIV. Because of that illness, Connor had to administer numerous medications, cancel plans to take him to the vet, keep a close eye on him always, and so on and so forth. Additionally, Connor also helps me with my cat, Kirra, and dog, Wyatt. Kirra is much easier than Ren health-wise, but she requires a lot of attention and affection and Connor is perfect for that. He understands that once a cat sits on your lap, there’s no moving them. You’re stuck. Connor walks Wyatt weekly and understands the precautions to take with reactive dogs. Even though Wyatt is relatively small, he’s very strong, and you have to anticipate bolting or pulling when another dog is nearby. Connor does a great job of this and has never had any incidents. I can’t recommend anyone else more than Connor.

For my daily routine it could be during lunches if close by, and any after work hours. I take care of our house cat throughout the day. Weekends are open all day for flexibility as well.
