Pet care experience

Caring, experienced pet lover!

Animals are my passion! I formerly worked on/volunteered on a farm back home in Asheville, North Carolina where I took care of a variety of animals with different needs, both big and small! I have a Golden Retriever named Rosie who I have professionally trained and raised since she was a puppy and is the love of my life. I have a 3 cats of my own, 2 named Chino and Pixie and a new kitten named Stella! Chino and Pixie, who I've cared for the past year. I also had a cat back at my parents house named Libby who I cared for 6 years. I have experience caring for horses, dogs, cats, goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, birds, rodents, and birds of all sizes and ages. I have a passion for animals and my goal is that you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands! I am so happy I get the opportunity to do something I love to pay for college! I've pet sat before but recently learned about Rover and can't wait to get to know you and your pets!

Caroline did a great job watching our dog over the weekend at our home. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and we always felt like our dog was in good hands. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly cared about making sure everything went smoothly. We came home to a happy dog and a well taken care of house.

We're longtime Rover users and have been hiring housesitters for a few years now. Caroline did a fair job navigating an unusual situation in that we did the meet and greet in our apartment and then she housesat for us in the house we bought and moved into that she had never visited before. The house was still mostly full of boxes, but we arranged what she needed to sit successfully. She let us know the pets were alive, fed and medicated. They seemed to enjoy her company and were healthy and well when we got home.

Caroline is always incredible with our home and our 7 year old lab mix! We truly know our pup is loved because when we return home, she’s happy, extra snuggly and well-taken care of!

Safety, trust & environment

If you were to hire me, I'd do all the feeding, grooming, walking, and caring for your pet. For dog walking, you can tell me if there is a certain distance or time you'd want me to walk your pet. For example, a mile or for an hour. I'd meet you wherever you request and I'd return your pet at any location you tell me. For drop-ins, I'd show up at any times you have requested or if there are no specifics, I'd check in on your pet 2 or 3 times a day around breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I make safety my first priority, so for walking I use leashes unless you specify otherwise. I also love to pet, play and engage with the animals, by playing fetch or other games. When I drop in, I'll make sure to feed your pet and take them out a little while after to use the restroom and clean up, as well as check to make sure there are no accidents in the house. I'll do a scan to make sure there are no hazards like wires or toxic foods or small items that could be eaten. I'll lock up the house when I leave for security. If there are any other specific requests you have or if your pet has a medical condition or an allergy, please let me know! I'm willing to do anything else that would make you feel more comfortable leaving your pet in my care.
