The deeper dive: Since moving to Chapel Hill, NC in 2019, I’ve built a loyal client base by offering reliable daily dog-walking services and extended pet care tailored to each family’s needs. Pet care is my full-time profession, and I am CPR and First Aid certified, R+ Trainer Certified (positive reinforcement only), as well as independently insured (though I’ve never had to file a claim). Your pets are my top priority, and I pride myself on providing personalized care to ensure their happiness and safety. Whether you're looking for daily walks, drop-ins, home care visits (water plants/collect mail) or occasional extended pet sitting, I’d love to discuss how I can support your pet’s routine and your peace of mind! About Me I’m a New York transplant and a proud mom of three (one grown, 2 at home) living in Chapel Hill. My family and I adore animals, especially our English Bulldog and chihuahua. Having transitioned from working mom to stay-at-home mom, I understand the challenge of leaving your “fur babies” behind. That’s why I offer dependable, loving care to give you peace of mind. When I’m not caring for pets, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family traveling. I also hold an associate degree in Science and strive to bring professionalism, kindness, and reliability to every client relationship. My Approach After a meet-and-greet to understand your pet’s needs and routine, I’ll follow your instructions to maintain their schedule as closely as possible. I believe consistency helps minimize stress and ensures a happy, healthy pet for you to come home to.

After a meet and greet to get to know you and your pets, as well as their needs, I will follow your instructions to maintain your pet's schedule as closely as possible. Animals, especially dogs are creatures of habit, and having their humans away can be stressful. I believe maintaining their normal schedule helps reduce stress for a happy pet to come home to! I am independently insured and CPR/First Aid certified.
Ratings and reviews
Amanda works wonderfully with my super energetic puppy! It’s really helpful that she has a training background and can reinforce good behaviors while they’re together, and it’s a lovely bonus that Maple came back from her walk very happy (and tired!). Thanks, Amanda!

It was wonderful to travel feeling confident that our two cats were being well cared for, especially because we are new to town. Amanda was reliable, a good communicator, and attentive. When one of our cats had a potential medical issue, she was proactive and really helpful to ensure the issue was quickly resolved. Highly recommend!

Very prompt and dependable, rain or shine! Great with my dog who is always excited to see her.

Excellent and on time

Amanda always does a great job!!!!

Saved me at the last minute even in bad weather. Friendly, and great with my old dog!

Schedule
You can rest assured knowing pet care is my full-time job. My full attention will always be on the safety and care of your loving pets. I am mostly booked from 1030am to 2pm but am taking daily clients in the early morning or later afternoon. I am also available for services in the evenings and on the weekends.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsAmanda can host up to 4 drop-ins per day
- It would be helpful to know what they are afraid of, if they are aggressive/fearful to other dogs, what their favorite toy is, if they need medication (and all the specifications along with it), and where they are used to going to the bathroom. What commands do they know and follow? I have no breed preferences, however, all pets must be child-friendly.
