My schedule is open and flexible. Just starting this endeavor with Rover after 25yrs of animal care. I would prefer longer daily visits, giving enough time for the pet to do all their duties and then relax and get comfortable with me.

Let me know if they have had any training to sit, wait, heel, etc. then we can talk the same language. What are their favorite petting spots? My older pets usually like a nice back and tailbone massage, or belly rubs can be preferred. Please inform me of any 'beware boundaries' so that I do not trigger them or make them uncomfortable. What are their favorite spots in the home? Sometimes heavy sleepers, older deaf pets or cats won't meet me at the door.
A typical day
Typical day- Greetings, first treats on hand in case a pet is protective. Then once they recognize me as a friend, we get the lead for a walk, or outside to potty and/or play fetch. My cat friends will get some head rubs, catnip, treats and playtime. If it’s meal time, I feed, watch, wait, to know the pet has their normal appetite. If not, I may jazz up the meal or add a treat. Then I can communicate with you that the pet is in good spirits and all duties have been completed. Also I’ll confirm when I will visit again.

Being able to stay at home with their familiar surroundings, smells, and sounds is compassionate and less stressful for them. It is a joy to offer that for you.

Allison was a wonderful dogsitter for us while we were out of town for a long trip to Europe. She spent time with our dog, ensuring he got cared for and walked, but also helped out by alertly bringing in time-sensitive packages. Our dog seemed perfectly happy and healthy upon our return, which is really all that you want out of a petsitter!
Alllison is a very dependable and caring pet sitter. She is great with both large and small dogs, as well as cats. She takes time to get to know your pet and actually loves them and heaps attention on them. We have had her spend the night while we are away on trips and she has always done a great job. I would absolutely hire her again!
I've known Allison for 23yrs and to say she's a most gentle, common sense and intuitive animal lover is an understatement. She gets on the animal's level immediately, uses a gentle and non-threatening approach to encourage them to come to her and then takes time and just sits with them to earn trust - and once she has their trust she give them time, affection and any care needed. Beyond that, Allison communicates with me (usually via text) as to what time she visits my dogs, how they seem and if she has any suggestion regarding something she or I might try if they're having issues. I know Allison does research on almost everything - and a pet breed or behavior, I'm sure, is no different. She's never flaked on me or not gotten my dogs out when I've counted on her. She's a really lovely person and animals and people gravitate toward her. I'd hire her immediately if you're looking for loving, reliable, common sense caregiver for a pet!
