Pet care experience

began my working life with nearly two years of Positive Reinforcement Dog Training. This is where I learned how to bring fun and captivating engagement into my training techniques. I felt called to go more in depth and expand my understanding of different training methodologies so I could reach the needs of dogs and families that needed more help than what solely Positive Reinforcement Training was able to provide them. In 2018 after weeks of research to find the company I felt was able to add to my abilities while also adding to theirs I accepted a job with celebrity dog trainer Nick White's company, Off Leash K9 Training in Knoxville, TN. Three years of working with OLK9 in TN led me to transfer to Austin, TX where I became the first Trainer with the company on foot. Throughout my time with OLK9 I grew even more passionate and began continually raising my goals and my standard for Dog Training. In December of 2022 I decided that my goals, my standards, and my love for training needed it’s own program that was truly tailored to each individual dog and that is when Everywhere K9, LLC came to fruition. My love for training dogs began as a child. I was raised with a Dutch Shepherd Police K9 who sparked my interest in dog training at a young age. I have a wonderful husband and a 1 year old baby boy! We have two dogs: a Siberian Husky named Winnie McKinney, and a Belgian Tervuren named Uma. I am someone who loves my family, friends, and helping animals. When not working with dogs, or visiting family, I enjoy being outside, boating, going hiking, spending time on the lake, and attempting to dominate a pool table. Since founding Everywhere K9, I have jumped at the opportunity to help families see what their dogs are capable of and to strengthen families’ relationships with their dogs. I love that through Everywhere K9, I am capable of bringing out the best in every dog, regardless of size, behavioral issues, or even previous traumatic experiences. The absolute best part of the job for me is strengthening every single client/dog relationship. I love disproving the common misconception that training will take away the personality of a dog. I enjoy demonstrating how training helps a dog find a positive way to channel their energy, while preserving their silliness or goofiness. That is why training is so great. It gives them something to do, strengthens the bond between the dog and the owner, and most importantly… enhances the life of the dog. I will be the biggest encourager for you and your dog, and anyone that finds themselves in my class will hear the same message over and over: “Be your dog’s cheerleader! Be here to let them know they are doing a great job! Most importantly HONOR THE DOG”.

Alex was amazing with my dog Hudson! He is gigantic and hurt his foot prior to our scheduled rover stay. Alex was kind enough to accommodate coming to him because I couldn’t get him into a car! She and her family took great care of him and gave him lots of love. Highly recommend!!!

I was not happy with the service provided by Alex and I was really looking forward to it, given her bio. I felt like my dog was pretty neglected, nothing close to a 5 star sitter at all. I’m fairly certain she was gone for majority of the time our dog was there, received a few photos when she realized I was worried about our dog given I found out she took off his collar(that has his tracking and my personal info in case he were to ever get out). Alex seemed to have a lot going on and I wish she would have given better care to my pup. Theres more but I think I got the point across and don’t need to elaborate.
