“Jessica and John were wonderful with Charlie. I will definitely be taking charlie back to them. She sent me pictures daily which was much appreciated. Thank you so much for providing care for our precious charlie.”

“They were wonderful helping our dog to stay with them to have a good time. Plenty of playtime and playmates. Plenty of space and ? and plenty of patience as my dog can be high energy. They kept her active and were well knowledgeable in dog behaviors. Plenty of daily videos and photos to show us how happy our Sylvi was during her stay. We will definitely use them again and recommend them for all your dog sitting needs!”

“Melissa is great. This is our dog’s second stay with Melissa and they were much more at home with her. Melissa is very responsive to any questions and always kept me updated. Thank you so much.”

“This was my first time using Rover, and Karen made the whole experience great! I’m happy we found her. She was wonderful with Coco and took great care of her while we were away. Her regular updates and photos were really appreciated, and it was great knowing Coco was in good hands. We’d definitely recommend Karen and would absolutely have Coco stay with her again if needed. Thank you, Karen!”

“Michelle and Robert were great! they communicated fast, very reliable, caring and sent us updates/pictures of our furbaby. Our poodle seemed super happy to be at their home and to have other friends to play with. We will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to our friends and family!”

“I am so grateful to Gabrielle for taking great care of my Rottweiler and Pitbull. She allowed me to come see her home, get a feel for her property and have the dogs meet her prior to booking. Then when I was on my trip I got daily photos while I was away, she communicated often, and my dogs looked relaxed and happy when I picked them up. I will definitely be a return customer! Highly recommend!”

“With a last minute request, Dooku spent a weekend with Lindsay and her family. From the onset, Lindsay was very prompt with responses, she was very communicative, pleasant and positive. I expressed a concern about Dooku being susceptible to heat exhaustion because he is a black Lab with two coats and the days were very hot (100 to 105 degrees). Lindsay put me at ease and made it clear that she would take care of him, exercise him lightly and monitor his behavior. Knowing Lindsay and her family had a swimming pool, I cautioned her about Dooku’s love for swimming (it’s a lab thing 🐕🦺🐾) and that she would be challenged keeping him out of the pool. Throughout the stay, Lindsay sent me updates, photos and in no time at all, she informed me Dooku was swimming in her pool with her family and they were having fun! There is nothing like putting your cherished pup in the hands of someone else and knowing they are safe and well taken care of. Dooku will certainly be back and Lindsay comes highly recommended! Thanks Lindsay!!!”

“Kayla is FABULOUS!!! She is our go-to sitter on Rover when we need anything for our pups. She is flexible with dropping them off/picking them up, communicates quickly, and always sends pictures of what my pups are up to when they're at her house. We are so appreciative of her and the love she and her family gives our boys when they're in her care. Thank you, Kayla!”

“Absolutely amazing! I worry about my geriatric lab who has separation anxiety. Amy sent messages multiple times a day with photos checking in with how things are going right down to potties, walks and medicine. I 100% vouch for her and highly recommend.”

“She and her family took great care of our Daisy! They have a nice home with a fenced yard for playtime. Daisy clearly had the time of her life, and I got at least one picture a day of her antics! Definitely will book again!”

“Nicole was thoughtful and considerate, understanding the needs and requirements of our senior dog. She sent useful updates to help us know how our family member was adapting to new and unfamiliar surroundings. Would be confident in booking her services again should needs arise.”

“Katelyn took excellent care of Bella when she cared for her overnight at her house. Bella hasn’t stayed the night many other places and she was able to settle in. I would definitely keep Bella with Katelyn again.”

“Jan is wonderful! She has a large property for the dogs to roam around and play. She sent regular updates to let me know that the dogs were doing well. She took great care of them and it made me feel good to know that they were in good hands with her. I will be booking with her again since I am out of town often.”

“I was nervous to leave my pup anywhere for a week, but after Daphne spent a wonderful day at Vanessa's doggy daycare, I felt completely at ease having her stay with Vanessa for the week. I really appreciated the photos and the updates I got while I was away, and I loved that Daphne had other pup-friends to play with all week. Thanks for caring for my girl, Vanessa!”

“Nalleli and her family were very kind and caring with our dogs. We received pictures of our dogs daily and they were being their normal selves. Our dogs were very calm when we picked them up. They enjoyed their stay.”

“Aimee and Derek were great with my slightly nervous dog; they sent pictures everyday and were warm and friendly, perfect to keep her calm. Great location for us and easy to do drop off/pick up. Would recommend and use again!”

“We are so grateful for Heather! She is extremely responsive and kind, and Murphy had a great time. It was our first Rover experience and we have a dog who has some particular needs, and we were so pleased with the experience. Thank you, Heather!”

“Colleen and her family were amazing! They took my dog in for a whole week as part of their family. I think my dog enjoyed herself so much that she slept for almost two days for recovery. She made drop off and pick up easy and it was overall a great experience!!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
