commented answer Will my dog develop worse separation anxiety if I bring him to work with me daily?

Thanks Laura. It sounds like it might make sense to start leaving him at home a little more often should my situation change where I can't bring him in everyday.

asked a question Will my dog develop worse separation anxiety if I bring him to work with me daily?

I bring my dog to work with me every day. He is a little Jack Russell Terrier and we have been doing this routine for about 3.5 years now. He comes in with me every day and has his little open pen to hang out in by my desk. I am worried that this routine might make his separation anxiety much worse than it would be if I only brought him in a couple days per week. Is there any research behind this? Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?

answered a question Are folks able to use the $20 off promo code for drop in visits if there are more than $20 worth of service?

Deb is right. Just remember that it is only good for the customers first booking, regardless of the service they choose. So if they use the code to book a drop-in visit, they wont be able to use it again for booking an overnight stay.

asked a question My Jack Russell Terrier shakes and trembles every once in a while - any explanations?

My Jack Russell Terrier will shake and tremble from time to time for no apparent reason. It's not a temperature issue, because it happens mostly indoors in a warm environment. It also happens in very familiar environments for him, which I can't figure out. People always think he is freezing or scared, which is not the best reflection of me as a dog owner (even though I know he is feeling neither of those things).

Anyone have any information on this?

asked a question What are the best ways to get your Jack Russell Terrier to stop barking?

My Jack Russell barks at EVERYTHING. Random sounds, knocks at the door, kids, other dogs, etc. Even when he is playing, he is just barking like crazy. Are there any good training tricks for controlling this tendency to bark at everything?

commented answer What is the coupon code for a discount off the first stay?

That is a great explanation, Laura. Additionally, if you come across a discount that is a larger promotional value than a previous deal you have redeemed, you can swap it out for the larger one in your account.

answered a question how to register help4pets tag

The tag is automatically registered for you and attached to your account before it gets sent to you. All you need to do is attach the tag to your Rover dog upon arrival and be sure to take it off once they leave. The ID# will already be linked to your account.

answered a question how does the 20 for 20 work? after a friend has booked a stay with Rover how long does it take for me to get $20 credit?

They get sent out 3 days after the end date of the stay. So if your friend's first stay ended on 8/1, you would get your referral on 8/4. They are delivered via email and you have to manually deposit the reward into your account; it doesn't happen automatically.

One thing to note is that the friend you referred HAS TO have signed up through the referral link that you either sent them directly or posted on social media. That is the only way you can get issued credit.

answered a question Refer another sitter

Rover doesn't allow you to share your coupon code through the onsite messaging. I think the purpose of this is to encourage sitters to use their codes to find new customers outside of the Rover website and bring them in versus handing out their code to anyone who contacts them online.

If you personally know the customer, the best thing to do is to give them a business card in person that has your personal coupon code on it, then provide them with the link to the sitter's profile that you are referring them to.

answered a question Refer another sitter

To refer another sitter, you have to send them a referral think through the "Refer a Sitter" button at the bottom of your Rover dashboard. In order for you to get credit for the referral, the sitter HAS to sign up through the link you sent them. Once the sitter you referred signs up through your referral link and successfully creates their Rover account, they are then able to redeem a promo code (NOTE: the promo code is for new customers, so the only benefit to the sitter you referred would be if that person also owns dogs and wants to use a Rover sitter).

To redeem a promo code, go to your Rover dashboard, click "View Payments & Promo Codes", then click "apply promo code" which is located on the right hand side of the page. The resulting page will have a promo code box where anyone can redeem a promo code.

If you refer a sitter and they complete 2 stays within their first 90 days on the site, you'll get a $50 amazon gift card.

Hope that helps!

answered a question amazon coupons how do i get paid?

Did you refer a sitter to Rover? If you successfully refer a sitter to Rover who completes 2 stays in their first 90 days, you get a $50 Amazon gift card.

If it was a dog owner who wanted to pay you with an amazon gift card, that would violate Rover's terms of service, since you arent supposed to collect payment outside the system.

answered a question where can I find meet and greet checklist?

Those are 2 great solutions. It might be worth reading through each and creating your own checklist to combine the information suggested in the materials with relevant information that is specific to the care you will provide or what is most important for you to know.

I have found that my meet and greet questions are evolving over time, given the variety of experiences I have had. I learn something new with each dog and am constantly refining my list of questions to ask owners to be as transparent as possible.
