answered a question | Why does my dog keep eating her own poop? I don't know why exactly but I had the same issue with my dog. My vet recommended me to use a spray filled with water, and simply spray the dog whenever he turns around to try to eat his own poop. This is to reinforce the idea that he shouldn't be doing that; my dog eventually outgrew it. |

answered a question | What should I do about my dogs eye discharge? I never had issues with green/white discharge but I usually clean my dog's eyes by using saline solution and an ear swab. I got permission from my vet and it works very well in cleaning out the eyes. Hope this helps at least a little. |

answered a question | I got a $90 from rover sitting and the rover fees added up to $36... that is not 15 percent. What is that about? Has anyone else had this? I don't know if you already got your answer but when did you become a sitter on Rover? I believe Rover.com changed their policy about their rates. If you signed up to become a sitter before March of 2016 then you can 85%. If you signed up after March of 2016 then you only get to keep 80%. I hope this helps at least a little. |
answered a question | as a pet sitter how do i get paid on here? Im aware there is a rover wallet? but what does that mean and how do i redeem my money ? Hi Vanessa, I just set it up so that the money goes directly to my Pay Pal account so it won't ever show up on my "Rover wallet." I find this less of a hassle, and it will always show up 2 days or 48 hrs after the end of the stay just like Hillary and Karen mentioned. Hope that answers your questions :) |
answered a question | How do I get my dog to eat? It usually helps to not give the dog any kind of treats; the dog will eventually pick up that even if he doesn't eat his kibble he'll still get other (delicious) treats to fill him up. Additionally, don't leave the food out all day, and put it away if he doesn't touch the food after 10 to 15 mins. He will eventually realize food won't always be accessible to him, so he needs to eat when the caretaker prepares it. Hope this helps at least a little. :) |
answered a question | Taking notes at M&G? Yes, I dedicate a page in my bullet journal for each of my clients. I write down all the questions I want to ask, and I take notes on anything that I find to be important. I feel like this shows your client you are serious about your dog sitting business, and that their furbaby is important to you as well. |

asked a question | How do I improve my business? Hello, I was thinking of using business cards to promote my business, but I'm not sure how to approach people about my services. I can get very shy at times so I don't really know how to bring it up without putting too much pressure on the other person, or just being plain awkward. Hope my question makes sense...Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!! :) |

asked a question | What are treats? What are treats and what is the point of them? |
answered a question | My dog got fleas from his rover sitter...suggestions? My 7-month-old dog had fleas at one point but there were a couple of home remedies that seemed to work. After taking your dog for a walk outside, spray a solution of vinegar and water (50-50 ratio) all over the dog's body and rub it in. You have to do this every time. Additionally make sure to focus near the neck, armpits, and stomach area. Another option is to give your dog a bath in Dawn dishwashing soap with a lemon scent or the one one that's blue in color. You will be able to see the dead fleas all over the tub. Hope this helps at least a little. |

asked a question | How do I get my previous client to leave me a review? I already checked out the tips provided by the Rover blog. It already has been almost 2 or 3 weeks since I wrote to the client, but I still didn't get a review. How do I approach this without being too overbearing? Thank you in advance! |
