commented answer | Rover holiday perks and sweepstakes not fair to rural and small town sitters? Thanks Kathleen! |

commented answer | Rover holiday perks and sweepstakes not fair to rural and small town sitters? Eh, there are only so many people here, doubtful, imo. Even so, is it fair to exclude newer sitters or sitters from areas with a rural or small town population? I don't think so. They could have easily made it fair to all sitters. This only rewards those who can really rake in the bucks for them |

commented answer | Rover holiday perks and sweepstakes not fair to rural and small town sitters? I know sweepstakes can have low odds of winning, but to not be able to even enter it sort of sucks, just because of where you live. |
commented answer | Rover holiday perks and sweepstakes not fair to rural and small town sitters? ".....as its pretty easy to get the 101 points" Because, I won't be able to get the needed points to even enter, even have the chance, just because I live in a rural place. Nice I guess to have the chance if you live in a big city, but they should make it fair so that everyone can at least enter. |

commented question | Weird situation--Undisclosed additional pets? For something so minor and requiring so little care, and especially since you brought it up, I would not charge. |

commented question | Do you charge long-distance? I charge an extra $5 for jobs over 20 miles. I live in rural/small town Iowa and I get maybe half my requests over the 20 mile mark. If it were 3 drop-in visits that far away, I would just charge my overnight fee and stay there. |
asked a question | Rover holiday perks and sweepstakes not fair to rural and small town sitters? So, I get an email today from rover telling me if I accrue 100 points over the holidays I can get some coupons off of dog/pet-related services (coupons that are readily available elsewhere, without having to accrue any points). You need 101 points to even be entered into the sweepstakes. I live in rural Iowa and although I work somewhat steadily for what the population is here, it would take me 6 months to get 101 points to be eligible to enter the sweepstakes! If they want to reward us, how about some real perks we can use like http://rover.com merchandise discounts or free merchandise for points less under 100? Letting anybody who works over the holidays enter the sweepstakes would be more fair rather than only the people who live somewhere where it's probably pretty easy to get over 100 points over the holidays :/ Your holiday "perks" program sucks, http://rover.com https://go.rover.com/holiday-perks/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=Responsys&utm_campaign=101217190002&utm_content=2017_10_12_Holiday_1_US#rover.1736382&utm_term=101217 (link text) |

commented answer | Where can I find the notes I wrote when I "reviewed" a stay that I did? Then what is the point of writing a review for that stay? Is it just for rover.com? I thought it said that no one but myself could see the review? Or was it just http://rover.com that can see it? Seems pointless if no one can see what I wrote. Won't be doing that anymore..... |

commented question | how many watch puppies? I do, but not in our home and I do charge a little more for them because they are more work. I know it's hard for someone with a puppy to find puppy care, so that's why I offer it. Plus, it is fun, if not tiring :) Fawn |
commented answer | Where can I find the notes I wrote when I "reviewed" a stay that I did? Thanks Mary. I just tried doing what you said, but clicking on the owners name or dogs name just takes me to the last conversation we had for that stay. It'll say that the stay was reviewed, but I can't click on it. I'm not seeing where it says that you can edit the notes(?). Good tip re: codes |
asked a question | Where can I find the notes I wrote when I "reviewed" a stay that I did? After I complete a stay, http://rover.com asks me to "review" the pet, to write down anything I may want to remember for next time. I cannot, for the life of me, find where these reviews/notes are after I've done them? For instance, I wrote down the owner's garage PIN # and today I had left my paper notes at home, so was looking for the notes I had left in the review for that dog so I could get the PIN#, but could not find them. I thought it was maybe just the app that didn't have the reviews/notes, but I can't find it on the regular website either. What do I look under? Should it really be this hard to find them again? Thanks! |

commented answer | Is there a way to book a different number of drop-in visits per day? that that must be the correct way!? |
commented answer | Is there a way to book a different number of drop-in visits per day? Well with 4 visits booked, but only actually doing 3 visits, wouldn't the insurance cover the 3 visits? Booking multiple visits like that separately seems weird too, then the client would have to pay multiple times? I figured that if someone from http://rover.com was telling me this was how to do it. |
commented answer | Is there a way to book a different number of drop-in visits per day? I asked http://rover.com on Facebook and the reply they gave me was to book 2 drop-ins per day for the 2 days, then to go in and manually adjust the amount owed down to 3 days. Seems rather backwards to me and that there could potentially be a lot of errors doing it that way, but that's what I did. |

asked a question | Is there a way to book a different number of drop-in visits per day? I have a client who wants me to come 2x one day and then just in the morning the next day, as they'll be coming home shortly thereafter. The stupid booking page only lets you book the same number of drop in visits per day?! That can't be right, is it? Of course people might need a different number of visits per day. How can we book for just 3 visits, 2 one day and one the next? The only way I can see to do this it to book for 2 visits then extend the stay? That seems rather backwards and awkward as the client will have to then pay twice? thanks! Fawn |

commented answer | Itemizing deductions- What can we deduct? Thanks! I'm sure that will come in handy. |
commented answer | Itemizing deductions- What can we deduct? Thanks Walt! Good article, I will have to look into it some more. I will keep track of my expenses in the mean time though for sure, as it sounds like quite a lot can be deducted. |

asked a question | Itemizing deductions- What can we deduct? Is it correct that we can deduct mileage to and from Meet & Greets, but not to and from our first client once something is booked? The way I understand it is we can deduct mileage BETWEEN consecutive clients, but driving there and back is not deductible. Thanks Fawn |
