Oh that sounds fun!

Pumpkin Balls: 1/2 cup canned pumpkin 4 tbsp molasses 4 tbsp water 2 tbsp vegetable oil 2 cups whole wheat flour ¼ tsp baking soda ¼ tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix pumpkin, molasses, vegetable oil, and water together in a bowl
Add the whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon to the mixture and stir until dough softens
Scoop out small spoonfuls of dough and roll into balls on your hands (wet hands work best)
Set the balls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork
Bake approximately 25 minutes until dough is hardened

I just made a bunch of these last night, fun to make 'candy-canes' out of! (Ingrediants: 1 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup margarine, 1/4 cup bacon grease, 1/2 cup milk, 2 teaspoons beef bouillon, 1 cup shredded cheddar, 3/4 cornmeal, 2 teaspoons white sugar, 3 cups whole wheat flour,1 egg, beaten and 1 cup boiling water)

•Put 1 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup margarine, 1/4 cup bacon grease in a large bowl. Boil water (add bouillon) and add to bowl, then let stand 10 minutes.

•Then add cornmeal, milk, sugar, cheddar and egg (This is where I would add food coloring). Mix flour in 1 cup at a time until stiff.

•Knead dough on a lightly floured surface, mixing in additional flour as necessary until dough is smooth and no longer sticky. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2" thickness. Cut with cookie cutter, and place 1 inch apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

•Bake 35 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Cool before serving. Store in a loosely covered container.

For candy canes I made a plain dough and a red dough. Make the candy cane shapes with the plain and then bake for about 10 minutes depending on size (smaller candy canes will burn after about 15 minutes). Then remove them from the oven, wrap a string of red dough around the outside and finishing baking for an additional 20 minutes or until firm :)

I make my own dog biscuits and when a client leaves I always give them some in a goody bag to take home. I have a couple of recipes I make and the one that I have that is popular is:

Honey and Cinnamon Dog treats: 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup veg oil, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 egg, 2 tbsp milk, 2 1/2 cup flour, 1tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp cinnamon,

Preheat oven to 375. In a large bowl combine veg oil, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, milk, & egg. Then stir in baking powder & flour. Roll out dough with a rolling pin. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Bake 13 - 15 mins.

I just made some yesterday for my 3 fur babies. It was so easy, only 3 ingredients. I found the recipe on Pinterest. My dogs, who do not steal things off the counter, stole the treats that were cooling there. I didn't roll them out, I just flattened out a ball of dough on the cookie sheet. Maybe I'll make them fancier for Christmas.

3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Pumpkin Homemade Dog Treats

1/2 cup Natural Peanut Butter 1 cup 100% Pure Pumpkin Puree, canned 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour (I used Whole Grain Brown Rice Flour)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, stir together peanut butter and pumpkin. Stir in the flour 1/4 cup at a time just until dough is no longer sticky.

3. Roll the dough out between two sheets of parchment paper to 1/4″ thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the dough, then place on the prepared pan.

4. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely. Store in an airtight container or freeze for up to 3 months.

Apple crunch pupcakes:

A fruity treat your dog will adore

Ingredients
2 ¾ cups water
¼ cup applesauce (unsweetened)
2 tbsp honey
1/8 tbsp vanilla extract
1 medium egg
4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup dried apple chips (unsweetened)
1 tbsp baking powder

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix water, applesauce, honey, egg, and vanilla together in a bowl
Add remaining ingredients and mix until well blended
Pour into lightly greased muffin pans
Bake 1 ¼ hours

Wow!! Excellent recipes!! Being that I'm in Florida, where it gets hot/humid...alot. We have a few frozen treat recipes we love on top of the usual baked goodies. Hope your babies like.

Yogurt Pops

1 8oz cont plain yogurt. No added sweetener. 1 small bag frozen strawberries or blueberries or 1 banana Bit of honey (optional) Blend well, pour into ice trays or small paper cups or muffin tins and freeze. Store in gallon ziploc bags in the freezer.

Beef/Chicken Ice Pops

Dissolve 1 beef/chicken bouillon cube (low/no sodium) according to directions Pour into ice trays, small paper cups or muffin tins and freeze. Store in gallon ziploc bag in freezer.

Peanut Butter Cow Hooves

I buy plain cow hooves, fill with peanut butter and freeze. So easy, lasts a while and can be refilled and frozen over and over. I always have a few of these in the freezer.
