What happens if a regular client starts complaining?

I had a previous customer get upset because their dog went potty in the house under my care. I walked the dog three times each day during the stay but she accused me of coming very late. She told me this has never happened. What should I do?

It looks like you just provide care at the dog's home. I've experienced before with a client whose dog also had a number of accidents in the house over the past year+ that I provided care - and I believe the dog did before too. The solution was we agreed at what times she wanted the dog walked and I could get there. She also told me the desired route of the walk inside their community. Based on her reactions, I figured out that she preferred when I'd send photo messages at some point during the walk, which further documented when I was there. Other than that, at different times, we discussed using dog gates to restrict the dog from harder to clean/carpeted areas and if she wanted me to do quick house check of areas where the dog might soil based on access.

Thanks for your response Deb. I will make those suggestions to her if she books me again.

You're welcome.
