Definitely discuss this at the M&G. Some people don't want their dogs around children, or the dog may not be good around kids.
That depends on several things -- age of your son, character of the dog, wishes of the owner, etc. I have a daughter that I often take on stays with me, but she is a pre-teen, was raised around dogs, and I only take her to houses with dogs who are good with kids.
Good question, I myself had run ins with wanting my son to come
with me. All does depend on owner and of course dog itself.
Agreed with Shannon and Cari. Discuss it with the owner and if possible have your son present for for the M&G. Rover recommends that anyone the dog will spend time with should be introduced ahead of time, and this would include any children.
