Rover automatically charges any bookings beginning, ending, or running THROUGH a holiday at the holiday rate. I do believe this is a glitch that is being addressed by the Rover team. I had a client who was dropping off on the Sunday before Labor Day and picking up a week later. Since she booked at least one day on a holiday weekend, the entire trip was going to be charged at my holiday rate rather than just the days that covered the holiday weekend. Make sure to always check before finalizing any trip!

Relating back to your question, some sitters have discounts for multiple dogs ($25 per night, + $5 for extra dog), while others do not. Make sure you read through their service pricing list, as it usually shows it (e.g., $5 for additional dog per night). I normally do not have a discount for multiple dogs from the same house hold, but have been asked about it and usually do give discounts (manually) if someone asks for one (you never know until you ask!).

That said, unless the profile of a sitter explicitly states that they have an additional price for multiple dogs from the same household, I would talk to them about what they charge, if they do a discount, for extra dogs. Otherwise, there is no "holiday rate" for an additional dog (aside from the base rate of $xyz).

Hopefully I did not just confuse you more!

From my past experience, Rover will automatically charge your higher holiday rates for all additional dogs, so watch carefully when a stay is booked around a holiday. I had to edit my rates for a stay around the 4th of July.

For regular stays, I charge $5 less than my normal rate for dogs 2+ from the same family. For holiday I follow the same pattern - $5 less than my holiday rate for dogs 2+ from the same family.

Your holiday rate overrides all of your other rates, so every dog requested, regardless of how many or what ages, will be charged at the holiday rate unless you manually alter it. It will also use the holiday rate for every day of the stay, even if it includes dates outside the holiday range.
