Hi! Make sure you respond to all requests, even if you can not fill them! You also want to make sure you are responding quickly to these new requests as the first few responses tend to be the people booked! Make sure all expectations are fully communicated ie what time the pets usually eat/play, do the clients want throughout the day updates or morning/evening updates etc. Best of luck!

There are a few times a year when you will be so busy you won't have a minute to yourself. That's when you are really tested. Never got a shower today ? Dogs don't care. Didn't have time to get back to your cleanouts project today ? Dogs don't care. Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas of course. There is plenty of time with no pups. So if you push yourself during the good times you can relax later. Good luck. Keep smiling !

Congratulations on joining Rover! Here are some tips for getting started:

  1. Set up a complete and attractive profile: Your profile is your first impression to potential clients, so it's important to make it stand out. Include high-quality photos of yourself and any pets you have, as well as a detailed description of your services and experience.
  2. Set competitive rates: Do some research to see what other sitters in your area are charging, and set your rates accordingly. It's also a good idea to offer discounts for first-time clients or longer bookings.
  3. Be responsive and professional: Respond to inquiries and booking requests as quickly as possible, and always be professional and courteous in your communications. This will help build trust and establish a good reputation with clients.
  4. Build up your reviews: Reviews are a key factor in attracting new clients on Rover, so make sure to provide top-notch service and ask clients to leave reviews after their booking is complete.
  5. Market your services: Spread the word about your services by sharing your Rover profile on social media, telling friends and family, and handing out business cards or flyers in your community.

Remember, building a successful pet-sitting business takes time and effort, but with dedication and hard work, you can build a thriving business on Rover.

Good luck!
