Does anyone take dogs for boarding have not been castrated? Any advice on why I should or should not?

Hi! I have had a request for two dogs from the same household to stay with me for a week, the younger has not been castrated yet. She messaged me saying that she feels I should have this information before deciding on whether to take them or not. Being as they would be the only dogs staying, they already live together, and I would not let them off lead at anytime in public, is there any reason why I should not take them?

All constructive feedback would be hugely welcomed!

Hi there!

I've taken care of dogs who haven't been neutered before, and it's definitely something to consider before accepting a booking. Generally, male dogs who haven't been neutered can have more behavior issues, such as marking territory or being more aggressive. However, since these two dogs are from the same household and already live together, that should minimize any potential issues. It's also good that you don't plan on letting them off-lead in public. If you feel comfortable with it and have experience dealing with intact dogs, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't take the booking. Just make sure to communicate any concerns or questions with the owner beforehand.
