Is anyone else getting booking requests for dates they have listed as unavailable?

This has happened several times and I find it very frustrating.

I have this happen often! I'm not sure if this is a settings problem? We accept multiple dogs, but only from the same house. We don't allow multiple clients at once. I don't know how to mark us available for multiple dogs, but not multiple clients.

Yes, there is a setting about only accepting multiple pets from the same household. Go to your profile/services. There you will find a long list of preferences. It is in the 4th question under "About Your Home."

Are they from previous clients, new or both? Previous clients can always contact you regardless of your posted availability. I don't presume to know Rover's logic but, if you only offer traveling services, it makes no sense.

You might want to contact Rover Customer Support ([Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]) and ask.

Yes, you’re not the only one.

This always happens. But the app says in the request that it knows it's outside your settings. Honestly I find it very annoying and I'm not sure why it does it.

Yes, my repeat clients do that, for the reasons Karen mentions above. Which is OK with me because sometimes even if I mark my calendar unavailable, I am happy to accommodate a repeat client who tips really well :) So i actually prefer that my regulars are able to send me a request even though my calendar says I am unavailable. I am just very selective and this option works well for me.
