Have you ever wrote SOAP NOTE ?

Have you ever written a SOAP NOTE? Does Rover have a format of the SOAP NOTE? I would like to share my experience.

1、I had to go to the vet when I did a sitter. I didn't know if the case was worth the reimbursement, so I asked Rover Support before the claim.

2、A request from Rover to report the details why I had to go vet. I answered all the questions. The content is worth SOAP and is almost the same.

3、I had this answer 「we do not anticipate any at this time」 Without any explanation.

4、I wanted to know why, so I replied to explain the reason. I didn't go to the vet on my own decision. I did according to the rules and instructions of Rover. If I misunderstood my understanding or what is on the Rover website, it's because I wanted to correct it. It's not to make the same mistake, and to be useful for the future.

5、The person in charge ignored my email. No answer.

6、I ask again. I just want to know the reason.

7、she ignored and abandoned.

8、Suddenly, they ask me how was her work. I sent Rover support about the interaction so far and being ignored.

9、1week later, the person in charge sent me mail “ The claim does qualify. Please provide the SOAP notes as I can begin the claim, I am only needing the SOAP notes to process the claim.”

I know what it means because I have knowledge about medical field. But it's not a word that all people can understand. PIC sent the same sentence to my client without explaining of SOAP. Most of SOAP NOTE is what I was looking at the accidents to write, not by the client. Because the client didn't see the accident, normally. Why do I duplicates even though we answers questions that are already worthy of SOAP? I can see that the person in charge is throwing her work she should do by herself because it's troublesome. It's negligence. So rude. My client was upset what SOAP was about.

If everyone knows SOAP note and this is common, it's my lack of awareness. Otherwise, I think this PIC's behavior is very rude, unprofessional, and looking down on people. Did Rover replace the owner of the company? Am I the only one who feels like they are becoming lazy and just money maker ?

You should be able to get a copy of the pets SOAP note (medical records) from the vet that you just went to and it should at least include info that covers the last year In addition to this most recent vet visit because of this incident. Ask the vet office you went to for the SOAP note record and then just give that to Rover. Vets are legally required to release your pet’s records to you, so you shouldn’t have any problem obtaining a complete record. Commonly referred to as SOAP notes, these can be digital records or handwritten from your veterinarian. They need that documentation to file the claim plus an invoice of whatever treatment/diagnosis and discharge/take-home instructions were given.
