Does anyone here have a business license and insurance?

I hired an accountant to do my taxes for the first time last year and he was concerned that I didn't have a separate business license for each of my gig and freelance jobs. I've started the process of finding out how much it costs in my state (Delaware) but I am still pretty unclear on whether it is common or required for sitters working as contractors through a service like Rover to get themselves a business license (or their own insurance). As an extra note I don't board in my home, just walks and visits at the client's home.

Every state's requirements are different with respect to licensing. It only matters what your state requires. However, being a walker only should mean that a business license for boarding animals shouldn't be required at all. Insurance (personal liability) is another matter entirely.
