why can't I modify a reoccurring booking that is has been cancel after next week?

I have a reoccurring drop-in twice a week, the owner got covid and needed to cancel same day. I'm trying to modify the booking to cancel the visit for this afternoon, but the option is not showing up for this client (it does for other clients still). the owner did cancel the reoccurring booking, but that starts next week.

That's how Rover got it set up.
Since you won't go to your visit, you won't start the visit, and you won't get paid, and the owner will get their money back. I just went through the same exact situation.
