Anyone else leaving Rover thanks to Stripe?

I've had my profile 'inactive/unavailable' for some time now - thinking about coming back or not. However, I'm definitely done for good now. Not only did Rover (against the best interests of their sitters) force everything through Stripe - but also, my contact and transaction information has also been sold. I am being marketed to from more than one Merchant Services company - and they know I've used Stripe, and specifically know it was for Rover. I find this to be an incredibly flagrant breach of my privacy, and I'm so disappointed in Rover and Stripe both.

For other sitters - I think checking out other sites is worthwhile at this point. http://Care.com, Fetch, etc... And here's hoping they won't sell your information... after already making money on your labor in TWO ways (they charge the dog owner 120% of your rate, and keep the difference, plus taking 20% from you as well.)

I am happy with Rover and Stripe. I've used Stripe before with no issues. Rover is a great place, compared to others who take 50% cut....

Care has changed how they make money over past decade too, making money off sitters and clients like you mentioned. I don't have first hand knowledge with fetch.
