Clients will always contact you first. They will see a list of sitters and select you from there. The order the sitters are presented is based on several factors, like location and availability. Rover also promotes new sitters and sitters who have recently confirmed their availability so they appear closer to the top of the list (there are lots of other factors that influence where you appear, like how many requests you get that you end up booking, but personally I try not to dwell too much on those and just focus on running my business the way that’s best for me and the pets I care for)
Sometimes it just takes a little patience but there are a couple things I can recommend that might help you get your first client:
Does anyone know what the going rate for boarding a rabbit?
Anyone interested in becoming a referral sitter for my clients?
What is your (real) cancellation policy?
As a sitter, how can I obtain a home inspection and phone-screening tag?
Has anyone ordered a ball cap with the Rover Logo on it?
Raising dog walking rate for potential client?
How long does it generally take to complete background?
What do you do when a clients dog damages something?
i am having trouble editing my settings. How do I edit or remove a photo sent?
