"Away" function not working?

I'm trying to set myself as Away for the short term. I select the option in calendar to "Set yourself as away", but clicking the link just sends me back to my dashboard. When I go to my profile, signed in or not, it does not show as away and still shows my calendar as being mostly available. Am I missing something?
