Owner won't add additional dogs?

The owner requested a stay for one dog but the initial message stated that there were three dogs total, one being a puppy. I went ahead and scheduled the meet and greet and at the same time asked if she could add the other two dogs to her profile. She has come up with every excuse not to add the dogs. She says there is no way for her to add them. I then went ahead and broke down my prices and what it would cost to have the additional dogs in the stay and presented them to her telling her I could modify the booking and she responds with her wanting to talk about it in person. I feel like I might be about to be taken advantage of but I'm also unsure how to decline this politely. Her responses at times can even be taken as flippant. I've explained to her that with Rover all the dogs must be registered through their site and that I could try to help her add the dogs but I've since been ignored. Any suggestions?

She either doesn't really know how to add additional dogs (I've seen that happen to clients of mine), or she doesn't want to pay extra. You can either tell her you are not a good fit for your needs and move on. Or you can tell her to call Rover so they can help her to add her dogs to her profile. And then you can waive your additional dogs fees and pet sit for her should you decide to pet sit for her. Seems she just doesn't want to pay for 3 dogs. The choice is yours. Good luck.

I feel your frustration. There are a couple of ways you can handle it. If you really feel that the owner is having issues you can have her call Rover support or you can always call Rover support and add her pets in for her. It just depends on how much you really want this booking? (You will need to make sure you know the pet’s information.)

If you do want this booking but want the owner to be more proactive. I would send them a message letting them know you enjoyed meeting them during the meet and greet and would be happy to finalize their stay. However, she does need to make sure to add Pet 1 and Pet 2 to her profile. Reminding her that once she adds Pet 1 and Pet 2 to her profile, they too will be eligible to receive cover through Rovers guarantee program and you both can finalized the stay.

Do also mention to her that time is of the essence. You can either tell her that until all pets are added to her profile and the stay is finalized, other client may still make reservations with you there for you may or may not be available. if she has any questions to reach out to Rover support, #.

Or you can just give her a deadline. Still telling her the above but instead switching it to; in order to ensure you will be available to watch Pet 1, Pet 2, and Pet 3, the booking will need to finalize by xx/xx/2022, otherwise you will need to open your schedule to other clients. At that point if she does not book, I would just mark it as Owner did not respond and move on.

Best of luck!
